Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 2nd year teacher, but new to BES! I believe my students deserve a clean and comfortable environment to learn in. My school is a Title I school, located in Houston, TX where 95% of students are low income. The school building, which opened in 1928, has been through a lot and seen little repair. Even though the current classroom rug has been cleaned, there are visible signs of wear and tear from years of use. I believe it’s the small things we do that go a long way, so I would like to get this new rug for my students to enjoy!
