My Students

My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.

All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore, and play.

My Project

School is not always about math and science. School is also where kids learn to make friends, get along with others, take turns, and make friends. Right now, my students are distance learning and despite worries and lots (and lots) of work to make things go smoothly, we are learning!

The one thing that still seems to be missing is the opportunities for learning how to get along with others and take turns, and I really don't want my students to miss out on this crucial part of the school.

With your help, I would like to deliver a cooperative board game to each of my students to use and learn from at home. Cooperative board games are games designed to teach teamwork. Game players must work as a team to win or lose together. Cooperative games are great for teaching all of the skills that my students are currently missing due to distance learning. With your help, my students will learn and thrive, gaining ALL the skills they need for a happy, successful future!
