Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Engaging students with lesson gamification enhances learning. Gamifying increases motivation and interest through intrinsic and extrinsic rewards, reinforces skills and concepts in a fun and memorable way, and creates opportunities for students to develop soft people skills through connection and collaboration.

Kids learn best when they are having fun!

Adding these manipulatives for games into my lesson plans ensures my students will actively participate and remember what they have been taught. They will use the Toss and Catch sets for a pass the rhythm game, the Pool Noodles to practice steady beat and rhythms by doing Cardio Desk Drumming and the Hoberman sphere as a visual for deep breathing, shaping the phrase, and crescendos and descrescendos.
