Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know what it is like to sit on a cold dusty floor several times a day? Have you ever gone to a party and there aren't enough seats? My students are subjected to this several times a day when called to the meeting area.

My students are second grade public school students from New York.

A majority of them come from large low income families. Due to the severe budget cuts my students are sitting in a class that is overcrowded. They are also subjected to a lack of many materials for example a rug suitable for the amount of students in the class.

My Project

By contributing to this project you will enable my students to sit comfortably. This will then allow them to be more attentive to the lessons instead of fidgeting to get a spot on the rug. They will become more focused allowing them to become better learners and students.

Please remember when you go home you get nice and comfortable, put your feet up, relax and read.

At this point you can concentrate, please give my students the same opportunity by giving them a place they can call home.
