This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The charter school I work at consists of students from low-income, disadvantaged communities working towards college and a better life for themselves and their families. While in my classroom they learn a mixture of algebra and psychology, depending on what time of day they visit me.
Because the school is a charter school, the state gives less money per student than the nearby district. As a staff, we run a more intensive program with less money to make it happen.
I want to provide my students with a well rounded education so that they are fully prepared for the college experiences they will inevitably have in just a few years. A LCD projector will assist me in ensuring that the quality of my lessons are more interactive.
Your help will make it possible for me to bring a new level of instruction to my students.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
