Healthy Air for Healthy Kids
Funded Dec 4, 2019Thank you so much for helping provide a welcoming and healthy space for my students to grow and learn!
Our amazing new air purifier helps minimize the spread of everyday germs and eliminate allergens. Our classroom smells so clean without any harsh chemicals. I can tell a big difference in the air quality, and I believe that it has helped deter the spread of germs during flu season. I can also tell a difference in my students with allergies.
This air purifier has been and will continue to be a staple to our classroom! Your generosity is much appreciated!”

Funded Jul 15, 2019Thank you for your support to our classroom!
I have been using the cleaning wipes to ensure that we have a welcoming and clean learning environment. The students love using the small broom to help clean at the end of each day. We sure love a clean classroom!
Our laminator is one of my favorite items from this project. I have used this to make piggy bank labels for our positive classroom management tool. I've also used it to keep our rules that the students created and signed looking nice and neat throughout the school year.
Since we use our laptops everyday during intervention time, the headphones have been a great necessity! The students love how colorful and comfortable they are!
The hanging file folders have really helped with organizing student papers. I created student mailboxes for important papers and graded student work. This helps organize the papers before placing them in the take home folders each week.
Thank you again for helping us have the necessary supplies for a welcoming, clean, functional, and organized classroom!”

Funded Jun 18, 2019Thank you so much for helping provide STEM activities to help my students grow academically and love learning! I'm thrilled that through this project l was able to provide more hands on activities for whole group lessons, group work, and individual activities.
One of our big units in reading, which also integrates science, was weather and how it affected schools around the world. The earthquake and tornado activities were a big hit! Another big reading unit was about fossils. Students loved using Play-Doh to create different types of fossils. We can't wait to use some of the plant activities for our current reading unit on how pollinators help plants grow and survive.
These fun activities and materials have been a staple to our classroom learning. Your generosity is much appreciated!”

Funded Aug 14, 2019Thank you for helping give my students color and black ink cartridges for visual representations, colorful anchor charts, student work, and colorful classroom displays.
We have already used the ink in so many ways! Our hopes and dreams were printed and posted as a reminder of our goals for this school year. Anchor charts have been made from printing resources using the ink from this project. Piggy banks were made for a positive classroom management tool. The rules have been printed and posted. Without this ink, our classroom would not be as functional.
Having black and color ink has helped me create a welcoming and engaging classroom. Thank you again for contributing to our classroom.”

Funded Jun 4, 2019Thank you so much for helping provide a welcoming and functional space for my students to grow and learn!
I'm thrilled that through this project l was able to create a space for whole group lessons and flexible seating opportunities. We sit on the rug throughout the day for various activities. Having a space to sit and gather as a community gives the children a sense of inclusion and connection with their peers.
So far our main usage of the rug has been for whole group lessons, read-alouds, and partner work. I can't wait for the students to utilize this rug for station time and other flexible seating opportunities throughout the school year.
This rug has been a staple to our classroom community. Your generosity is much appreciated!”

Funded Aug 18, 2018Thank you so much for your donation and support of this project! The students' love of reading has been magnified by replacing the old, worn books and adding new, exciting chapter books.
Our new chapter books have encouraged reluctant readers to want to read, as well as maintaining the enthusiasm for avid readers. The students enjoy the books from this project because they are so entertaining. The Dog Man, Lunch Lady, and Bad Kitty series seem to be the most popular! The students are constantly reading for early finisher work and during drop everything and read time. They love using these chapter books for book summaries, book reports, and AR testing, too. You will always find every student with a book at his or her desk in my classroom!
The books from this project have been a staple to my students' fluency and comprehension growth. Your generosity is much appreciated!”

Get Lost in a Book!
Funded May 13, 2016Thank you for donating to my class! My students and I were ecstatic about receiving our brand new books! Several students asked, "Can we read them right now?" The students could not wait to get their hands on the new reading material!
We use our new books every day in various ways. When we have academic choice learning in the classroom the books are certainly a popular choice! The students use the books for tailored learning to their reading level. The students love the different genres. During our morning reading block, the books are used for early finisher work to ensure that the students are still learning. After finishing a book, the students are then allowed to use an ipad to take an accelerated reading comprehension test over the book. Students continuously spark conversations with one another about the books during our classroom book club stations.
The students' love for learning continues to grow thanks to your donation. Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms would go without resources needed for an enhanced learning environment. Thanks so much for your contribution!”

Ready, Set, Publish!
Funded Mar 20, 2016Thank you for donating to my class! My students and I were ecstatic about receiving our much needed printer ink and printer paper. The students could not wait to publish their writing on the bright, new paper!
The ink and paper help my students continue to be excited about the writing process. My students truly enjoy writing and absolutely love seeing their published work displayed around the classroom and in the hallway. Knowing that they will be able to type and print their written work keeps them engaged in learning and enhances their technological skills. They love utilizing spell check in Microsoft Word and also enjoy being able to change their writing into various fonts for printing. My students are now begging to type and publish their written work! I love that they are super excited about it!
