  • Mysteries, Thrillers, and Suspense Oh My!

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

Choice reading is something that is near and dear to my heart. I teach seniors in high school and many of them haven't read a book of their choosing from beginning to end. And that is why I try hard to keep my classroom library updated and full of books that I think would peak their interest.

This project was filled with genres that are for my most struggling readers. Graphic novels, romance, and a great mystery or genres that tend to suck in my most reluctant readers.

Thank you for showing my students that there are other people who care about their education and who also want them to be lifelong readers. We thank you and we appreciate you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Decker

  • A Safe and Happy Classroom

    Funded Apr 13, 2025

I can’t express my gratitude!!! There is so much that goes into making students feel like our classroom is an extension of their home. And being able to offer something when they are hungry is such an important part!

You are part of the reason that students want to be at school! We thank you and appreciate you!”

  • Help Us Stock Our Bookshelves

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

I can't begin to express my thanks for your incredibly generous donation to our class library!

Choice reading is near and dear to my heart and I hope to show my students mirrors and windows into themselves and others through books.

Your donation will add high interest books to our class library to afford students more access and choice to hopefully help them find the book they will love! I tell my students often that they don't dislike reading - they just haven't found the book to love yet! And that book could very well be in your donation!”

You are an absolute donating angel and have made such an impact overall for my classroom and most importantly for my students.

You have helped me show my students that our classroom is an extension of their homes and I truly want them to be comfortable. You are also helping to provide the items students need to be successful in class.

Thank you for showing my students that people truly care about their learning and want to show them the importance of being a student, a reader, and a scholar. Thank you for showing them it is okay to have fun in school! And thank you for being an absolute angel investor.”

  • A Midsummer Reading

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generous donation to our classroom. My first goal in the class is to help my students enjoy learning. And I feel like when I can create these interactive experiences for them. It makes the learning process not only fun, but so much easier. It also helps you invest my students in their own learning and that really is the goal. Again, thank you for your generosity. Myself and my students are incredibly grateful.

You have been a part of creating an educational experience my student will remember fondly forever!”

My goal as an English teacher is to help foster and develop a love of reading and novels. Many of my students have not read a book of their own choosing ever. Students who read contemporary, high interest, and culturally relevant novels will find more enjoyment in the words and connection to themselves. Reading just 20 minutes a day increases vocabulary, reading stamina, and helps on standardized tests. My students and book club members will be so grateful to get their hands on these novels. I have also started a Project Lit book club in my high school and these novels will be used for that purpose too! The goal is to foster a book club with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community member all sitting around and discussing the same novel.
