  Yay! This was my very first professional development DonorsChoose project, and I'm so happy that it was fully funded!

• Help Our Students Solve Math Problems, With Instructional Technology!

  Having access to basic resources, such as calculators, is a core need to perform well in the classroom. Luckily, donors like you stepped up to support our kiddos.

  Having a calculator that can quickly help students solve problems (instead of using their phone's calculator previously, which is inefficient and not intuitive). This prepares them for important assessments, such as the ACT and SAT, which are gatekeepers to college acceptance.

• Help Our Students Ace the ACT to Get to College!

  As you may know, the ACT is one of the biggest gatekeepers to a college education. Most schools require it (or the SAT), and without it, the list of colleges one can apply to dwindles significantly.

  With Albert.io, we are able to provide our students with high-quality ACT, SAT and AP-English practice. That means that they are more likely to ace these assessments, setting them up for success in life.

• Help EdPuzzle Help Students Learn at Their Own Pace

  Wow! We did it! All students at our school now have access to EdPuzzle, an amazing educational technology platform that allows teachers to turn any video into a lesson.

  For example, if a teacher finds a great video on multiplication on Khan Academy, they can now add their own assessment and/or engagement questions to the video, ensuring students watching the full video and understand the content.

  This is one exciting move in the direction towards personalized learning, and we couldn't have done it without your help!”

  Every day you use your laptop, you charge it. It seems like a small thing, until you don't have a charger! All of a sudden, that device you've used to work become non-functioning. Due to a lack of resources, this was a reality for many of our students.

• Read, Baby, Read! Help Our Students Access High-Quality Literature

  Research shows that one of the most important tools to making great readers is offering them access to high-interest, just-right books.

  Thanks to your generosity, our students now have great access to such books! Multiple teachers and dozens of students have been able to benefit from your donations. For example, one of our teachers looked at her students' Lexile reading level, and then identified books that would be a good fit. Without your kindness, that wouldn't have been possible!

  Something like a pair of headphones may not seem like a vital part of a classroom. However, in today's age, it is just as important as a pencil or paper! Previously, we had to rely on students to bring headphones from home - putting some students at a disadvantage. Thanks to you, that's no longer the case.

  We did it again! Thanks to ya'll, our students now have access to high-quality ACT tutoring!

  I'm so thankful that you have chosen to donate to my students and to help ensure they have every chance possible to succeed.

  From here, students will be able to access great ACT tutoring whenever and wherever, allowing them to practice the skills they most need to be ready to crush the ACT.

  While the ACT is just one test, it is a gatekeeper to many scholarships and more selective schools. Your contribution gives our students a better shot at getting more scholarships and attending an excellent school.
