• Boomin' Time In Music Class

  Thank you all so very much for the help in making this project possible for the students in my community. The students were so excited to see the large boxes containing the boomwhackers come in and be dropped off in the music room. It was a moment we're so many things became possible for the students thank to the addition of the boomwhackers. Now that we have this set we can access hundreds of songs and expand the musical abilities of the students. We can play and work in all scales, including major and minor scales, build chords and play other music that is not restricted to C major. The students can also no play popular songs and simply do more with more resources!”

• Violin Players Need Violin Bows!

  Thank you so much for your generosity and helping us obtain much needed bows for my students. The students were super excited to open the boxes with the bows and know that we will have them for use for a quite some time.

  Over the course of the school year, the bows were used and it allowed the students to keep playing music and developing there skills. The students took really good care of them and it allowed for close to 600 to play on the bows.

  An amazing performance opportunity came up for us and we took some of the bows for the performance, without them we would have not been able to give that experience to the students. The music students continue to perform for the community thanks to the addition of the bows in the classroom. Thank you so very much!”

• Creativity and Critical Thinking Through Music!

  Thank you so very much for your help with this project! Thanks to your help, close to 600 students are very excited and thankful that our music program now has more resources they need to continue with there music lessons throughout the summer and beyond. The students will be preparing to perform at graduation festivities in June, parades, festivals and other celebrations throughout the summer in our city. Once they get back to school in the fall the music students will begin to prepare for Hispanic Heritage Night at Historic Soldier Field. We can't thank you enough for the help with the bows!”

• Music Class Essentials!

  Thank you for helping us obtain classroom essential items that we desperately needed. Now that we have received binders, white boards and other items it has set up our students for success in the music classroom. With the binders I was able to organize the music for the students to keep in order and study the music sequentially. We have piano binders, bells binders, guitar binders and other binders with sheet music, exercises, charts, and other music sheets the students need.

• Music Stands Help Our Kids Stand Out!

  Thank you so much for helping us obtain a class set of music stands! Since obtaining the stands all students have been able to each have there own to use or share during ensemble practice and allow them to read sheet music properly and also perform while using the stands.

  Our community is very grateful and now the students will embark on a performance journey that will allow them to create life long friendships and memories by going out into there community and playing music, bringing joy to the world. We can't thank you enough!”

• Rhythm Sticks Rock!

  Thank you so much for your generosity in donating to our project this year, and giving our students additional resources to have for music classes. The students were very happy to receive the sticks and use them in class, I can't explain the emotion and feeling I got from handing the students the sticks to play with.

  During the first few classes using the rhythm sticks, students have enjoyed learning and performing to quarter note, half note and whole note rhythms in songs and videos. The students will continue to work on a variety of rhythms, sight-reading simple patterns and playing along to many different songs.

  Your help will give the students more access to high quality instruction and allow them to dive into a wonderful journey of creativity and learning that will have a life long impact. Thank you!”

• Ringing in the Music!

• Using bells and music to make a positive change in our Chicago Neighborhoods

  I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and help during a pandemic! Your donations have allowed to continue music education at home with our students and provide them with an enriching learning experience that will carry on with them their entire lives. The expressions of joy and excitement in the kids faces upon receiving a set is nothing that can be put into words!

  The students are currently learning about hand sign solfege, learning how to read notes on a music staff, play along with scales and shorts songs and come up with their own songs. I am currently using prodigies online and the kids have access to tons of lesson plans, sheet music and play-along videos.

  The students will be working on learning songs to virtually present for the entire school staff and community this year, and beyond! I am really excited for the students in our school community who will greatly benefit from the music bells for generations to come!”

• Keyboard

  Thanks to you, our students at our elementary school can now explore and dive into further depths of the wonderful world of music! Thanks to you, we have provided 550 children just this year with the opportunity to learn and benefit from music education.

  The piano is a very popular addition into our music room as all 550 children are now exploring scales, intervals, songs and other wonderful musical components through the piano. From simple easy songs to build confidence and conquer fear and anxiety to performing full piano scores and advanced scale progressions, the piano will aid us in developing great young people into the future and it is having an immediate positive impact in our classroom.

  The addition of the piano is currently helping us to develop early musical training that is connected to areas in the brain that develop language in children and we do it through singing children songs and the kids just love this aspect of our classroom. With all students, the study of music shows us that students score higher in tests and that they tend to do better in team activities as they must work together to be successful. The exact demands of music study and performance is very challenging but it is teaching students to work hard, be dedicated, stay committed, work with others and to be very disciplined. Through piano music study, my students are learning the value of sustained effort to achieve excellence and the concrete rewards of hard work.
