Message from Superintendent Patrick Murphy

We are excited to become a District Partner with DonorsChoose. Our teachers know our students' unique needs better than anyone. This program empowers teachers by providing them the necessary resources to tailor their classroom to their students, while also giving them an opportunity to strengthen relationships within their community.

About Milan Community School Corporation

At Milan Community School Corporation, we are proud of our past and focused on our future with a vision for students to learn and grow every day and graduate with a purpose. We cultivate this through forming strong, healthy relationships, offering robust academics aligned to student achievement, and partnering with parents and families to foster a healthy community connection. While our successes are many, we are dedicated to continuous improvement.

Milan Schools serve rural students, with an average of 54% students living in poverty. Milan Elementary School houses pre-kindergarten through fourth grade, Milan Intermediate School has fifth and sixth grade, Milan Middle School has seventh and eighth grade, while Milan High School serves grades nine through twelve.

Along with our outstanding core curricular offerings, our schools emphasize hands-on learning with robotics, engineering, agriculture, and the arts. Band and choir are popular among students, as well as our work-based learning initiative. We partner with the Southeastern Career Center allowing students to study in technical fields. High School dual credit courses are offered at Ivy Tech. We are a small school with big opportunities and we are pleased to offer 19 sports at the high school level.

We have a dedicated staff of teachers, assistants, secretaries, cooks, custodians, and bus drivers along with a supportive administrative team.
