About Marietta City Schools

Founded in 1892, Marietta City Schools is tradition-rich and future-focused. We are one of Georgia’s first Charter Systems and first International Baccalaureate (IB) World School Districts.

Marietta City Schools serves approximately 8,900 students in 12 schools representing a diverse student body—about 40 percent Hispanic, 32 percent African American, 21 percent White—with approximately 65 percent of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. We are a Title I District.

Our small size affords us the rare ability to be both nimble and innovative as a public school district.
