If this is your first time donating or you have lost count, please believe that my students and our school community appreciate your generosity. Over 1,000 students attend our Title 1 middle school in Queens, NY. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our budget is very limited but we usually struggle to ways to fund arts and crafts into our school.
So far this year, we have held about 4 crafting events and served almost 200 students. We have tie-dyed t-shirts, decorated pumpkins and decorated holiday ornaments. Next week we are making friendship bracelets and picture frames to celebrate "Palentine's Day." Our students regularly ask us when the next event will occur and look forward to having a new craft to learn. We have plans for the next few months to decorate flower pots, make flower pens, diamond art and perler magnets.
Your generosity expanded our opportunities to invite more students and have more regular events. Thank you so much!”

Thank you for donating to our classroom. Your participation allowed my students to have an amazing school year and is now being loved and appreciated by a whole new group of children. My students were able to choose different areas around our classroom to read and get cozy. None of this would have been possible without your dedication, commitment, and heart of giving. I wouldn't have been able to provide my students with a learning environment that was inviting and nurturing without these missing pieces you helped me receive. Your donation allowed for this to happen, so thank you.”

Thank you for your generous donation. My newcomers and I are truly grateful for this. These goods will be more than just a treat but a gift to my students. Finally, as my school continues to welcome newcomers it is a great way to welcome them with a goodie bag of treats. Truly appreciative.”

Thank you so much for helping to fund this very important project. I can never have enough graphic novels - students are so much less resistant to reading these than they are to other books, and I can't keep them away! It's also important that I keep in stock the newest titles so interest doesn't wane, and graphic novels are on the more expensive side, so they are difficult to constantly update. This is the first step to creating a lifelong reader - just getting the books in their hands, and this is possible because of you. Thank you so much!”
Thank you so much for your support of my classroom! With our brand new Spanish Language Arts program at my school, we have been working hard to build a library of books and materials to help our students develop their Spanish language skills with authentic texts and materials. Your contribution helps me provide engaging reading and writing materials to my students! You are so greatly appreciated.”
Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. It has made an enormous difference in my classroom. During projects where some artistic creativity, the students are excited to use the "big box of crayons." Their work and posters which show the amazing attributes of books are lovingly laminated and placed around the room. Discussions are lifted with the penny protocol. The students are able to annotate common texts with large, colorful post-its to add all of their analysis and observations. Having funding for items which may not be exciting, but make our class run smoothly has been amazing and I thank you so much.”

Thank you so much for your generous contributions. I can't begin to tell you how much having these supplies in my classroom have impacted my students. For so many years, I have had regular, cheap pencils provided by the school district. Pencils that just disappear inside pencil sharpeners. Having mechanical pencils along with extra lead and erasers has been fantastic. Not only do my students love having them as an option, but I have received compliments from other teachers and administrators about how I keep them organized. This is definitely something I intend to continue doing year after year.
Thank you again for your generosity.”

Thank you so much for supporting our project! When I created this project, our vision was to create an art gallery in an alcove that previously was home to a mural. Over the summer, we painted over the mural with white paint to give a simple backdrop. The various frames that you helped to provide were spray painted royal blue (to go with our school colors) and then hung on the walls. Parent volunteers put vinyl letters saying "Art Gallery" up for all to see. Student work is displayed in the hallway alcoves in the unique frames. This alcove is near the front of the school building so hundreds of students will walk by the area each day. This art gallery area will be a great way to showcase student work.”
Thank you so much for your support. Kindergarten is a terrific place. It's active and noisy. One of the biggest issues is sharing. We learn when to share and what to share. At least, we try to learn that. Germs though are shared too often. This hand sanitizer and these wipes will decrease the number of sick days for us. Thank you!
The biggest part of this project was shoe box sized storage boxes. These will hold our math counters. They will allow us to access our supplies without interrupting small group instruction. This is awesome! You have helped our independence and that is amazing! Thank you, so much! You are appreciated!”
Going to the Lucy Calkins Teacher's College at Columbia University resparked my love of writing. These books will be an amazing motivator for our first unit of study. The students will be writing personal narratives and realistic fiction stories. They will use paper from our writing center to revision and edit by themselves, with peers, and with me in one-on-one conferences. We will all be working to tell stories and develop our voices. What an exciting keepsake to have forever at the end of the unit. I can't wait to dive into the new year and start writing together! Thank you for making this a reality!”
