Message from Superintendent Leo Flanagan

We are excited to become a District Partner with DonorsChoose. Our teachers know our students' unique needs better than anyone. This program empowers teachers by providing them the necessary resources to tailor their classroom to their students, while also giving them an opportunity to strengthen relationships within their community.

Learning First is honored to be chosen every year by Worcester families to serve 670 K-8 students. Our student population is 98% children of color, many of whom are First Generation Americans or Immigrants themselves so our English Language Learner and Special Education supports are much more than are typically found in a traditional public school district. Additionally, due to having a very large number of low-income families, we provide all students with free breakfast and lunch. Our students a bright, engaging, talented and inspirational - by supporting our school, you will be making a direct impact on children who not only appreciate any extras we can provide, but very much deserve it. Thank you!

About Learning First Charter Public School

The mission of Learning First Charter Public School is to prepare a diverse cross-section of Worcester children for success as students, workers, and citizens by providing them with a high-quality education at prevailing public school costs. Since 1996, we have helped over 2,000 children achieve their goals in school and beyond to become successful and responsible members of the Worcester community.

We are open to students entering grades K-8 and committed to celebrating the diversity of our community where every child and every parent feels welcome and connected. In January 2023, we moved to a new building at 50 Richland Street in the Vernon Hill neighborhood of Worcester, where our students have more space to learn, grow and thrive.
