iPads in Kindergarten
Funded Oct 9, 2019Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. We use our iPads all the time for many different things. Students use them to practice handwriting and sight words, we use them to help with reading skills and addition or counting practice. I love that I can put kids on different activities according to their ability levels and they don't complain that someone is doing something different than they are!!
Technology is always exciting for students. They are so excited when they see me pull out the iPads. They don't see it as learning like I do. To them, they are just playing games, and I get to see their willingness to work hard and learn when playing these games.
Some of my students do not have this type of technology available to them at home, so they are even more motivated to use the iPads at school. I love seeing their excitement when they learn something new on the tablets. These iPads have had a huge impact on our classroom and we are so grateful for your donation.”

Funded Jan 25, 2018Thank you so much for donating to our project. My students were so excited to find out that you donated to our classroom. When our rug came in, they could not wait to lay it out and see it. They get so excited about having their own letter to sit on.
Having this new rug has helped them understand their own space and to give others their own personal space. They also love to use the letters on the carpet to help them learn and match letters, or words with the beginning sounds. The students love to lay out on the carpet with clipboards and do their work or complete hands on tasks here instead of at their seats.”

Funded Apr 9, 2015My students have thoroughly enjoyed our new iPod. They love listening to their favorite stories and sharing their favorite parts with their classmates. Not only has this boosted their listening comprehension and retelling skills, I have also seen improvements in their writing. When they finish a story, they all want to write about their favorite part. This is so encouraging as a teacher, to see students that want to write. I am so appreciative of your generosity and willingness to donate to our classroom.”

iPod Listening Center
Funded Oct 30, 2014My students were so excited when they found out that we got an iPod to use in our listening center. They were even more shocked to learn that people they don't know were willing to donate their hard earned money so that they can have such great things in their classroom. My students have been using their iPod to listen to stories and answer comprehension questions about these stories. They get so excited when they hear words they have learned to read on their own and many of them have learned how to read new words by hearing these stories read to them. It is so great to see these students get excited about listening to stories and to hear them talk about the books with their classmates. Our iPod has greatly impacted student learning and improved student involvement in their reading activities. I can't wait to see the continued progress students make through the use of our iPod.”
