Our students at Victory Early College High School have been given an unique and transformative opportunity to participate in a meaningful Art Cultural Humanitarian Exchange trip to Glendale Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. This trip will take place in June 2-18, 2025, promises to be an invaluable experience for both students and the local community. During our time in Glendale, our students will engage in meaningful exchange of knowledge and skills. They will assist the local community with various projects, contributing to their development and well-being. In return, the students will learn the traditional South African beadwork and basket weaving, skills that have been passed down through generations and are integral part of the Zulu culture. This exchange is not just about the arts, it is about building bridges of understanding and friendship across cultures. We are asking $90,000.00 (travel, transportation, lodging, meals, and miscellaneous materials). We will be fundraising through school functions as well. Please reach out if there are any questions. Mrs. Laura Iappini-Case, Art teacher, LTIappini-Case@aldineisd.org or 281-667-7585. hide
