Thank you all your donations. All the resources received in my classroom impacted my students education. It motivates them to succeed in everything they do. My students love using all the denotations and supplies that help them to excel their education. I love to see their excitement to learn something new everyday. My classroom now invites them to enjoy reading and writing.

  • For Cake Sake

    Funded Dec 4, 2017

Thank you for the supplies they have made a impact on the lesson and overall teaching/learning experience. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support has made a significant impact on our ability to provide essential supplies for our students.

As an Art teacher at Whidby Elementary, I am committed to creating a learning environment that is both engaging and supportive. Your contribution has allowed us to purchase [specific supplies or materials], which will greatly benefit our students as they learn and grow.

Your kindness has not only helped us to better equip our classroom, but it has also shown our students that they are valued and supported by their community. Your generosity is truly making a difference in the lives of these young people, and I am grateful to have your support.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. Please know that your donation will be used to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.”

  • Math and Science Fun for Families

    Funded Dec 18, 2017

I would like to take the opportunity to express my thankfulness to everyone who helped make this project happen. Family involvement is very lacking at our school, for lots of reasons, and so it's important to me to help improve this. I felt a family game night would be just the thing to help spur some involvement, as games are fun and provide quality time amongst friends and family.

There was not a huge turnout, as many parents had late work shifts, but the parents who attended seemed to have fun and it was great to watch the students enjoying time with their families. For some, it was the first time they had played a game together. It was also a different way to expose both the students and their families to science. Even educational games can be entertaining.

The games have seen use since then as well. We have used some of the games for review or as a class reward. Students can check out games so that they can play at home when their family is available. I plan on adding more games to the game library and I look forward to students using their math and science knowledge and having fun while doing so. Thank you so much for making this project possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rogers

  • IPad for Meaningful Learning!

    Funded Jan 29, 2018

Thank you so much for your funding. This tablet has allowed us to be more exposed to technology. A lot of our students are not exposed to technology at home and get excited about using the classroom i pad. We use the i pad in various different ways but i have noticed that they get the most excited when using them individually during centers. Students love going to those centers where they get to use THE tablet, it makes them field like adults while entering their answers in it and using it to check out their books from the classroom library independently.”

  • Project Success Post Hurricane Harvey: Middle School Science Lab Materials

    Funded Jan 9, 2018

We are grateful for the laminating pouches! Those pouches are such a help in the classroom because they are so versatile! They help keep documents safe during labs so that we do not have to reprint directions/instructions and they also work really well as dry erase boards! When we laminate a document and use it as a dry erase board, students get so excited because they are able to review information with an Expo maker instead of their typical pencil. They get to feel something new and it changes things up in our room and makes learning a tad more interesting!

The brown clasp envelopes came in handy when we were taking notes! We cut them open to create a large foldable and we glued in information. Students kept asking questions because they were wondering what we were creating with those huge folders!”

  • Project Success: Post Hurricane Harvey Supplies

    Funded Jan 22, 2018

We are grateful and thankful for the numerous books we were able to get for our classroom library. It is so nice to see students go and grab a book when we have a few extra minutes in class! My teacher heart smiles:)

The class set of colored pencils was also a big win! We use our interactive notebooks when we need to take notes or review material before a lab or test. The colors help important information jump from the page. Overall, it makes our notes more interesting and appealing! I have over heard many students share that they love how their notes look!”

  • Ball Out

    Funded Sep 28, 2017

Kids are very excited about all the equipment we have received. Numbers are picking up within basketball even have kids transferring to our school just for the basketball program. A lot of kids are getting comfortable with learning the game of basketball, the equipment we received helps a lot with all around basic and fundamentals skills of the game.

Our kids have won back to back championships with all three teams girls teams, 4th and 5th grade boys for the elementary basketball. We really appreciate you all for helping us make our kids dreams come true.

Next step for our kids moving forward is to move on to middle school and learn more skills to what they've already learned and becoming better players in the future.”

  • Learning Through Our Sense of Hearing

    Funded Jan 22, 2018

Thank you so much for the donation to my project. This donation allowed my students the opportunity to be able to use headphones to activate their sense of hearing for learning. This donation continues to impact my students even today because students are using this headphones to be able to listen to virtual learning instruction. They use it to be able to engage in programs such as My On, Imagine Learning, and Imagine learning. Also they use it to practice listening to books for them to be able to perform well on their TELPAS assessments.”

  • Recovering Fundamental Books For Teaching Learning Strategirs After Hurricane Harvey

    Funded Sep 19, 2017

After years from this great devastation. The books that were donated are still thriving and being used in my classroom. It's comes to tell the importance of having books in a classroom . We use our books for read aloud and for teaching purposes. For example some books are being used for persuasive mentor text. Most of the books are used as mentor text books with a teaching purpose. All of our students that have come across these books are enjoying the books because they show engagement. Thank You for your support and helping my classroom”

  • Moving It in Math Class

    Funded Jan 22, 2018

Thank you so much for your amazing contributions! The basic supplies where a huge blessing and we no longer needed to worry about the dreaded "I'm out of glue".

Student were so excited to see that someone else took an interest in their education too. I think their favorite parts were the flexible seating choices that let them pick where they work best.

I know the rest of the supplies will continue to be to good use as foldables for our notebooks and as manipulative and games for anchor stations. Thank you again for your generosity!”
