Thank you to Nicolet National Bank and Elevate97 for their support of our campaign.
Thank you so much for contributing to my project. The tools you generously helped to provide have already begun to create a space more conducive to learning for all.
The organizational tools help students to feel empowered to quickly locate and utilize tools they need. The storage items have created more space for students to use. The seating and lap desks have allowed me to recreate the space available to my students and use in creative and innovative ways. The students love them!
Without you, there is no way I could provide these items and opportunities for my students. Thank you!”

Thank you so much for contributing to this meaningful project. With these lamps, I plan to transform the mood and atmosphere of my classroom to enable each child to learn more effectively.
Research shows that students learn better when they are able to relax and feel relief from stress. These lamps will provide exactly this type of environment. They will create spaces for students to gather, opportunities to relax, and ways that we can use more gentle lighting rather than harsh fluorescents.
Without you, we could not provide this learning environment. It means the world to me and my present and future students!”

You are our rockstars! I can't thank you enough for supporting my project to supply desk attachments for the cube chairs in my Early Childhood: Special Education classroom. From the moment the students (and staff!) saw the new desks, they have been a hit!
As you can see from the photos I shared, the desks open up opportunities for my students to more fully engage in the learning being presented to them during our small group Circle Times. While one student uses the desk as a visual reminder of where his personal space starts and ends, another student uses the desk to hold hands-on learning tools that coordinate with the stories or songs we are learning. A different student appreciates the physical support the desk provides for them, as they are able to lean onto it while they stay seated among their peers, rather than needing to sit in an adult's lap to get the physical support they need to remain upright and attentive.
My colleagues have been so impressed with the desks that they have made requests for them as well! These have truly been a game-changer in my classroom, and because of your financial support and caring hearts, the impact will be felt beyond my classroom walls and into other classroom and therapy rooms in our school as well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Your generosity toward my "Can You Hear Me Know?" project is so appreciated! With the school closure in the spring, my students were not able to use the recording phones until this fall. This year these phones have had a tremendous impact on how my students share their ideas online!
Because of your donations, I have a class set of recoding phones, which allows all students to have their own recording phone. During this time, sharing phones is not an option, so having phones for all students has been such a blessing! In addition, the students wear face coverings, so hearing and clearly understanding what they say can be difficult at times. The recording phones have given all students the opportunity to easily record their ideas while completing online activities. Even the students who are more quiet or shy can clearly record their thoughts because of these recoding phones. All the students seem so excited to have their own phone to use for online activities!
Thank you for supporting this project and providing recording phones for all students!”

Thank you so much for your kindness and patience. This year has certainly been one for the books. I apologize that it has taken so long for our school to thank you for your generosity. Our Relax Room has been in the works for over a year and, due to our ongoing health and safety concerns, is not yet completed or able to be used. The location of our Relax Room is needed to support our school in meeting guidelines for safe, in-person, instruction. Although our room is temporarily on hold it has not been forgotten! With the many changes in our society, our students need social, emotional, and mental health support more than ever and the potential of our Relax Room to aid in those efforts is something we are all looking forward to. Thank you so much for your financial support and know that the supplies purchased with your donations are still being used in other capacities until they can find their home in our Relax Room. We love our community and appreciate your continued support. Stay tuned for updates!”
Thank you so much for donating to Bay View Middle School and providing our students another opportunity to learn how to strength train correctly. The hex bars that we received are another great fit for our middle school weight room.
Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer to use the equipment due to our school going virtual. I am confident that the students will love the new equipment and look forward to learning how to deadlift weight safely.
We are hopeful to be back in school in which case we would be able to use the new equipment. I personally appreciate your generosity and know the hex bars are a valuable piece of equipment for a middle school weight room.”

Explode The Code provides the phonetic development necessary for English learners. This program is a great tool for language acquisition, reading development and it is a fun, hands-on literacy intervention program for children as well.
I plan to use this program with several of my current students, who learn differently than their peers. Using a multi-sensory approach that keeps them interested is a huge part of that learning process.
I am so excited to start to use this new program and to teach my coworkers about it as well. Thank you so much!”

Where do I begin?! When I told my students over the quarantine that their DnD project was fully funded, I could feel the energy and excitement through the celebratory emails they sent me. These boys were so proud of themselves for the project they wrote and it made my teacher heart happy to see the joy and pride they felt.
We had spent a lot of time in class working on how to write persuasively, effectively, creatively, and professionally so that their project could be communicated clearly to potential donors. As a teacher, it always helps SO much when students have a real-world audience for whom to produce writing. I am so grateful to DonorsChoose and you, the donors, who gave my students this opportunity. It raises the stakes when someone other than their teacher gets to read their writing.
Thank you so much for relating to these kids and giving them that feeling of success. I appreciate your kindness and willingness to pay it forward. These boy cannot wait to get the DnD club off the ground and have their first meeting. Thank you so much!”

We appreciate your generosity and support for our Unconditional Cove for All project through Donors Choose. We use the materials on a daily basis in our classroom. The floor pillows have become a staple in our classroom for instruction, allowing the students to be in an environment where they feel safe to share their emotions. Having soft items such as the pillows and weighted blanket in our classroom is a major influence as our students have the ability to use these when they are in vulnerable states emotionally. They allow the students to feel "at home" when decompressing and provide them with a sense of comfort beyond a traditional classroom. The other items on our list that you help provide are all related to address sensory needs for the children and can be used in their regular education classroom along with our special education classroom.
When the packages began to arrive, our students would take pride in going to the office to pick them up. Once in the room, they carefully unloaded the items and had genuine excitement that people they've never met took the time to donate to make their classroom a better place for them. In addition, the students loved the huge boxes items came in and they made a cool box fort for them to relax in during breaks and earned choice time. For the first time, I saw them collaborating with each other in a way where they communicated kindly to each other along with honored the creative designs of one another. That was a priceless experience and I thank you for that.
In our special education classroom (we call it the "Cove"), we provide students with sensory needs along with emotional/behavioral needs a place to decompress/calm down along with a place to work on their social skills in a proactive way. We would like to continue to build our classroom by adding more flexible furniture that is conducive to their comfort along with learning. We appreciate all of you as donors!”
It was so incredible to receive all of the battery operated lights with the intention to light up an entire auditorium celebrating art making (clay lanterns) and learning. We even extended the use of light to include some fairy houses with light showing through too. It was really fun to watch students problem solve how to fit a light in their project, design around it, and plan on how to use it in their own life once they got to take it home.
The good news is some of the projects both fairy houses and clay lanterns got to be on display at our district wide art show in early March before we were all sent home for the year. The unfortunate news is every students clay lanterns are sitting in our building waiting to be taken home. I am sad that we may not get an event to highlight this with all of us together, but we did get to create the projects.
The photos I have shared are all in progress lanterns and fairy houses because I was waiting to take all the cool photos at our May lighting ceremony. I know that students really enjoyed the creation and excitement of actually getting to light up their artwork though because they took pride in their creations and have been emailing me waiting to see when they can get into school to take their work home.
I hope that you are well and I sincerely appreciate the gift and know that students will get to use them when we get back in action at shcool! Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Perry
