I want to take this opportunity to personally thank you for funding our classroom project. I was surprised and delighted when this project was funded so quickly, due to the combined support of so many thoughtful people. I would also like to thank Adam Lambert for encouraging donations, as many of you responded to his call for action.
We are a small school that prides ourselves on getting results when other schools are failing. In this time of technological advances, it is more important than ever to have current and working equipment in the classroom. This is not the case so much of the time. I also want to thank you for your vision and being able to see that education is more than just the basics and taking tests. Programs like ours fill the void created in students when they lack a creative outlet.
With budgets declining in our school district and equipment getting older and more outdated the need for special funding of projects that enrich our students experience is even greater. We use our 4 new video cameras every day and the students love them. Their size allows them to be used throughout campus and other teachers have been sending their students to borrow them. The best part is that the always work....
Thank you so much from all of my students and myself. ”
With gratitude,
Mr. Foster

Thank you very much for your donation that helps support live music in my music classroom. Live music is very important for the music development in young children. I use to use the school guitar to play songs and sing with the children, but it's old and it broke last year. Now I rely more on Cd's, but I truly believe that the students are missing out. However, through your kindness and donation, the students can now experience live music accompaniment daily. Your donation is a major contribution to the student and to my music classroom. ”

Thank you very much for your contributions! Your donations made sure that we were able to complete our music video project. We had a fun time completing out project. By putting our performances on video it allowed us to share it with our staff, parents, community members, and other non-chorus members.
With the purchased equipments, we were able to film on a professional level, especially with our sound. Due to safety concerns for the students, I was unable to obtain permission from my principals to place the video clip online. However all the participants were given a copy of the DVD so they may share it with their peers.
Thank you again for your donations and time you've spent on this project. I was able to extract a few shots from the video project, "We Go Together" from the movie Grease. I hope you'll enjoy them”
Writing this letter gives me great pleasure. I am so very thrilled that my students have been given the opportunity to play percussion and to make music.
When we received the new supplies, my students were beyond amazed. A new cymbal, that isn't cracked! Concert toms, new drum sticks, new drum heads! All of these things allowed me to make sure that my young blooming percussionists had plenty to do. At the spring concert when I thanked everyone who helped us, I had them give demonstrations on the new instruments, and to just show the quantity of new and working things we had received. I had several parents ask if there was anything they could do for you, the donors. Many of the students of my parents are extremely helpful and want to do so much for their children, but they cannot always do this.
I cannot begin to say thank you enough times. As summer approaches, I know that coming back in the fall, there are a lot less things that I have to worry about, thanks to you! Thank you”
Thank you does not even begin to express my gratitude to you for funding my project. It is great to know that there are still people who recognize the value of music and are willing to support it when so many are quick to dismiss it and cut it. The instrument you have funded will give children now and for years to come, an opportunity that they might not have had. It may give a student something to look forward to at school, it might keep a student off the street and out of a gang (a very real possibility), it may just give a kid something fun to do, but it will change lives. It will teach students creativity, teamwork, focus, etc. We all know music makes you smarter. It is a wonderful thing you have done for a child in need.”
Thank you very much for donating to my class. My students were very motivated to study English through music. Our culminating concert was a great success. You were part of this success because you care about education. Thank you, again.
The students will take this experience with them for the rest of their lives. They will succeed at
every level of their education, graduate college and lead productive lives. Just think. They started at the elementary level with help from donors like yourselves. Thank you.”
I cannot tell you all how helpful and very cool these items are in my classroom. The ipod is proving extremely helpful in consolidating our music for lessons and listening tests, saving valuable time and allowing me to focus on the students instead of constantly changing Cd's.
The Sibelius Student music composition software is so user-friendly that many of my students figured out how to use the basic program tools before I had a chance to explain them. In no time at all, they were composing and playing back what they had written.
The 100 blank Cd's and cases are so handy every time I need to make recordings for upcoming PTA programs and contests.
Thank you all so much!

Thank you so much for the audio recording equipment. We have already, or are in the process of,finishing some top quality recordings. Some of the students have used the equipment to record their children's books they have written. They are recording their voices reading their own stories and putting them in PowerPoints for others to use. Several elementary teachers are showing them to their students. Many of these children's books are available online.
Several of the students are recording their own rap they have written about current events from a middle school student's point of view. Two of the students have used a digital guitar that belongs to a fellow teacher. Some are experimenting with the special effects of the equipment to record their own radio show, song, or to go along with the musical keyboard piece they created.
The students are learning a great deal about voice and audio. They love making their voices sound differently. The end projects no have clear audio, and that makes a huge difference in the qualityof their song, movie, game, audio book or what ever they are recording.”
I can't begin to tell you how much we appreciate your donations to fund the two beautiful Yamaha Euphoniums. We had our Spring concert last week and we received them just in time for our performance. The students that used them had great things to say about the instruments . They said they play very well and so appreciated having them to play rather than the beat up instruments they had been playing all year.
We will have 4 euphonium players next year after having 3 this year and one is graduating. It will be such a treat to have them all playing on decent horns. We have 2 that were replaced after Hurricane Katrina wiped out our little town on the coast. With the two we have and the two you were able to provide, we are so grateful for having such nice horns for them all to use and perform on.
You may not realize how much you are going to impact our students. I am confident that because of these instruments, someone who is able to use them will go on to college on a scholarship to play in their college band to help pay for their school. Your caring nature will impact these students for years to come.”

Thank you so much for donating so we can all play together. We've had the xylophone for just a few days, and I can't begin to tell you what a difference it makes in the lives of my students. We've played it every day, in almost every class. It's just wonderful to have enough instruments so everyone can play at the same time. It makes such a difference in the culture of the classroom; no one is sitting out waiting their turn. Students are helping one another to play the right notes. They are wonderfully responsible, using two students to move this beautiful rosewood xylophone with a gorgeous tone. I wish there were a way to upload audio files so you could hear how wonderful it sounds.
The students are excited when they come to music class, especially with the prospect of getting to play xylophones. Fifth and sixth graders are starting their culminating end-of-the-year piece, where xylophones, recorders, drums and movement are coming together. The addition of this lovely soprano xylophone means that all the parts will be able to be heard and appreciated. What a metaphor for our classroom: every part (and every player) is important. We are so thankful for the inclusion of this instrument into our classroom.
For all you do, and for your generosity, from the bottoms of our hearts, we thank you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Schramke
