Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation of a document projection system. This device allows us to project any image or object on a large screen, in full color. We use this tool everyday, in every subject. It is making my teaching more responsive, and helping the students to learn more.
Let me give you a few examples. When I'm teaching reading, I can now place any book under the camera, and immediately share the text with the whole class. In writing, I can place a students' writing notebook right under the camera, and we can do editing all together, with the whole class watching. In math this week, we learned to use protractors to measure angles. Now, I can demonstrate with an actual protractor and model correct usage with the whole class easily able to see.
The projection system has become such an integral part of our classroom; it truly has revolutionized our learning process. Thank you so much for investing in our classroom, our public school, and in my students' education.”
I cannot you all enough for your generous donations. You have given these youth an opportunity that they otherwise would not have had. With the comic design books, my advanced art students learned how to turn an idea into a visually compelling narrative. With the fashion design and fashion illustration books, my fashion design students learned to turn their ideas into visually dynamic and structurally sound fashion illustrations of their own original line and eventually into fully hand crafted garments. Our physical education programming has vastly improved since the day we received our soccer equipment! Student's excitement is immediately evident when I walk to class with our soccer balls in hand. Your contribution to our school day has had a immediate and continual positive impact on our student population!
On a daily basis I meet with one to three classroom groups, all of whom participate in various exercises in which we use our new equipment. We use our new set of soccer balls for partner and individual drills. We have also had tons of fun using our pennies (jerseys) for scrimmages. Students get really excited sharing the same color jerseys with fellow teammates.
In a school community that truly appreciates the game of soccer, it has been wonderful using this excitement in a way that really benefits our students. All of us at our school want to thank you all so much for your support!
Thank you so very much for your generous donation to our project "Accelerated Math for Accelerated Students." It means so much to know that others feel my students and their quest for knowledge is important.
We have had the printer for about a week now, and I cannot keep the students away. They have tripled their math workload. I have them coming in at recess and lunch, just to scan their assignments and print out the next. They stay after school, just to be able to get another assignment in. It is amazing how much pride they are taking in their work.
The students are so proud of their work. I believe they have become more motivated, and this is all because of your donations. Our students have many strikes already against them, and this allows them to feel as though there are others out there who think they are valuable individuals.
