Thank you very much for your donation for music stands in my classroom. The stands see daily use in classes such as band and show choir as well as during group lessons and assignments. The stands have helped the students focus on their music studies.

At the start of the school year, more than half of the band members were beginners. Since then, the students have grown by leaps and bounds. They are not only an elementary/junior high band that understands musical expression, but also students who know that what they are doing is meaningful and worthwhile. Your donation has helped these students develop a love of music.

The Leapster Explorers are a hit! My students love them and they have become a quiet, engaging center! The charging stations have already saved us money as I have already needed to recharge each system twice-- that would have been 32 batteries. The headphones make these truly a quiet and individual learning opportunity. The cases are also great, as they keep the systems and games clean and scratch free!

Now, to the actual games and Explorers-- I am still in awe at how cool these are! The first night they arrived, I brought them home to set up and ended up playing for an hour! They have a touch screen, a stylus, buttons, a port to add on a camera, the ability to download games, and much more. My students love the high interest games: toy story, tinker bell, football, and princesses-- oh my!

These games have truly transformed my center time and some of my students' attitudes towards school. They ask about the games as soon as they walk in the door! Thank you so much for giving my students a chance to use some of the newest technology while learning at the same time!! Your impact does not stop at the 23 students I have this year, but all classes for years to come! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

I want to thank all of you for donating to this project! It is great to see that everyone of you share the same dream for educating our students today. In my multicultural studies class I have tried to incorporate as much reading as possible that is relevant to our class studies, but that will also be enjoyable for my students.

One part of our unit deals with Africa. When the class travels to each part of the world we take an in depth look at the culture of the people, the life of teenagers in different countries, and also how colonization and European contact has changed life in these areas.

Again thank you so much for donating and funding this project. I hope you will keep up the generosity with other projects, especially since funding for education keeps dwindling.”

A special thank you to those who made this project possible.  With your donations, we were able to expand our Cozy Corner by adding the six bean bags chairs.  The canopy is an added touch and makes the area so inviting.  The children love going to this area to sit and read.  As you can see in the pictures, you have created so many smiles and made reading so enjoyable!!!

The children and I are hoping to get Tag Readers and books to add to this area.  Keep your fingers crossed!

In the world we live in today technology is an important asset in nearly everything we do. The importance of using technology in education will not only prepare our youth for the work force, but allow them to explore and see places and things they may never have the opportunity to do in person.

The tools that you have funded will allow my students the opportunity to explore and research what this world has to offer through virtual field trips and classroom projects. It will allow students to learn mathematics and other subjects is a visual way. Many of students come from low income homes where having computers is not an option within their house holds; your generosity has made it possible to expose children to technology.”
