  • Special Day Class Needs a LCD Projector

    Our LCD projector is working all the time in the classroom. It is the most engaging technology my students have ever seen. Throughout the day we are visiting web sites such as KQED to enrich our studies. The projector is connected to an ELMO which allows me to place reading material under it and project it onto the white board. The projector actually creates a 60" flat screen on the board. You can only imagine the beauty of this machine.

    Last week during standardized testing I was able to bring in a DVD for them after they finished testing. Not only was there a buzz in my room but two other classes joined us. It is a new world for me to be able to sit and observe my students engaged in their studies.

    I want to thank all of you for allowing my students and myself to step into the 21st century. There is a great deal of reciprocal teaching using the laptop and the LCD since I did not grow up with technology at my fingers. This has added another element to my students learning.

    Thank you again for your generosity. I look forward to a new journey in teaching for myself and my students in years to come. ”

  • My Students with Autism Need New Clean Supplies

    Hi everyone,

    All the materials arrived last week. I can't tell you how excited all the kids were. They were jumping up and down when the "three" boxes arrived. I'm not much of a photographer but I did my best. The pictures really don't express how much you have done to further their education and make learning "fun".

    The verbal students kept asking where all the presents came from! I explained that they came from friends who cared a lot about them.

    I'm just so grateful to you for your generosity. I hope you can really understand how much we all appreciate what you have done. You're helping some terrific kids learn to read, write and do math with games, and hands on materials that work with their different learning styles.

    My students and I sincerely thank you.”
