I am so thrilled to learn that you funded my proposal, "We Need Non-Boring Nonfiction"! I'm just about to finish my first year of teaching, and I've learned so much about how to invest students in becoming better readers. The resounding key is GOOD books, but our budget unfortunately prevents the school from buying high-interest titles.
The books you are sending will revitalize a the dingiest corner in my classroom library. Your generosity will ensure that my future students will get a great start with nonfiction texts...something I'm sure will help them feel (and be) more successful on their state tests.
Thank you, again! I can't wait to share my students' gratitude in the fall”
Thank you for your generous donation to my fourth grade class. You are helping to improve the education of my students. I can't tell you how much it will mean to us to have good dictionaries in our class. We are so grateful.
Thank you very much for sponsoring this project. We're very excited to plan lessons that will include going outside and sketching the natural world. These sketch books will allow us to differentiate instruction for many of our students. We look forward to sending you pictures of our adventure”
Thank you so much for funding my "To Kill a Mockingbird" project. As a relatively new inner city high school, we are focusing on increasing the literacy of our diverse student population. It is my hope that having the experience of reading such a famous classic piece of literature will help me in my efforts of creating life-long readers. In the past few years I have seen my students develop from being reluctant readers into being readers who literally jump and cheer when a new order of books arrive. I am exceedingly excited to begin reading "Mockingbird" with my students so that together we can explore the world that Harpur Lee has imagined. Thank you again for your generous donation and your support of our students”
Thank you so much for funding our proposal. I know that my students will be very excited to use the wood blocks. They have done many 2D projects this year, but have not had the chance to build. Your generous donation makes this possible. Many thanks”
My students have been waiting so long to use the Leap Frog System to support their reading. I cannot wait to tell them that they will now have batteries! You have NO IDEA how much your generous donation means to me and my kids. THANK YOU so very much”
Thank you so much for your generous donation of graphic novels to my classroom. My students have been working hard to improve their reading levels, but many of them are discouraged by the novels they would like to read because they are too difficult. The few graphic novels I already have are literally falling apart from constant use, so I know my students are going to be thrilled with these new books. They will provide some much needed encouragement to my struggling readers and make the difficult task of moving towards grade level that much easier. Thank you once again for your generosity, we truly appreciate it”
Thank you for your generous donation of three beanbag chairs. My students will be so excited when they see them. As you may know, I teach in a Title I inner-city school. We often lack the classroom resources available to suburban schools. Your gift will help make my classroom a better place. Thank you again for your donation.
Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! While my students may not notice the new book binding machine on my desk, they will certainly notice all the new books I am planning on adding to our library. They are going to be thrilled to have even more of the adapted books they love and learn from available for read alouds and independent reading. Again, thank you. I look forward to using the machine for years to come”
This gift is much needed and extremely timely. With the holidays upon us, teachers are creating vacation break homework packets, thus using up the paper reserves at our school. Your gift will ensure that there is enough paper to continue to enable learning for months and months to come. Thank you so much for your generosity”
With gratitude,
Ms. Zangrilli
