I am so thrilled to receive the full funding for our project! You have provided me and my students the opportunity to incorporate more technology in our classroom. I will be able to create some wonderful powerpoint presentations and we will be able to view student-made movies and projects. I appreciate your generosity in helping my class and school, and most importantly I appreciate the fact that you realize the importance of enhancing the educational experience of our youth. It makes me realize that there are so many people willing to help make learning more engaging and obtainable for all our students! Thank you cannot begin to say how thankful I am for what you have done!!”

Thank you so much for funding this project. My students and I are so excited to begin using this amazing tool in our class. This will be oh-so useful not only for this school year, but also for many years in the future. Donations like the one that you gave to this project help our classrooms in ways that you can't begin to fathom.

  • Help Bring The World To My 5th Grade Classroom

    Funded Nov 14, 2008

As I write this I am shaking with excitement. The possibilities that an LCD projector brings to my class are limitless. I can't wait to start using this valuable resource with my students. I can just imagine their faces when we're able to project images from Google Earth during Social Studies. They will be ecstatic when lessons become more interactive and engaging when they're presented with Power Point as opposed to chart paper. Thank you so much for your generous donation”

  • Interactivity in the Art Studio

    Funded Dec 12, 2008

Wow, we had just about given up hope. What a wonderful Christmas present. My students and I want to thank you for your unbelievable generosity. We will be sure to get the most out of your gift and I am looking forward to sending you pictures of my students in action this winter and spring with their new projection system. The technology piece is always a struggle in charter schools with out a large school district to support updates and system maintenance. Your gift encourages me to keep advocating for, and providing, a technology rich art curriculum. You have brought our school one step closer to being fully engaged in the digital information age. Thank you for your gift.

    Sincerely,

    Margot ”

  • A New Printer Would be Great

    Funded Oct 3, 2008

Thank You so much for taking an interest in our classroom. My students will be thrilled to find out that we will finally have a printer in our classroom. This is something that we have needed in our classroom for a very long time.

You are teaching them that it is not only nice to receive, but also to give to others.

It is support from kind people like you that helps students use technology that they might not otherwise be able to use”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. B.

  • Math + Games = Fun...and Learning!

    Funded Nov 29, 2008

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness, especially near the holiday season. I know my students are going to love the materials that have been funded by this proposal, and that their success in math will greatly increase.

I cannot wait to share these math games and puzzles with my class. They love games and will love flying through the levels of math fact tests after getting to practice with these resources.

Thank you, again, for your generous donation. We are very grateful!

  • Digital Projector for Use in Our N.Y.C. Arts Curriculum

    Funded Oct 30, 2008

My students and I would like to thank you for your generous gift of this digital projector. If you could see the smiles that will come from the kids faces when they can experience for the first time a virtual tour of a museum, or the projection of their own artwork on the large screen, or the fun and excitement of an art slide show you would smile along with me and forever be changed. The change happened in me when I realized that it is in the sincere caring for others that I become complete. Once I felt this, I could never go back to the way I was. Thank you once again”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Long

  • The Missing Piece

    Funded Oct 17, 2008

My students were thrilled to hear that the library would be getting a laptop computer to complete the SMARTboard system. Students in the upper grades have already asked me to teach them how to use it so that they can present their projects in "state of the art" mode. Enthusiasm is contagious. I expect everyone to be "on board" in short order. The SMARTboard will be a vital component of the educational experience of the students”

  • iPod Literature Station

    Funded Oct 8, 2008

I would like to thank you for funding this project for my class and me. I really enjoy reading and my goal this school year is to increase my students' love for reading. I have planned a lot of exciting activities and projects for my students this year. The iPod Literature station plays a big part in those plans. I really love using technology in my classroom. Today's society is controlled by technology, and our children need to use it to further their education in all possible ways. Once again, I would like to say thank you.
