  • Kid- Size Video Cameras for 2nd Graders

    Thank you so much for funding my proposal. I can't wait to share the good news with my students. We have already begun our first movie project of the school year, but it does not include any video. It only has still pictures and scans of pictures. With these cameras we will be able to add video to the projects, as well as document all our activities of this school year, such as the upcoming Halloween parade in three weeks.

  • A Documentary That Will Inspire

    Wow! Receiving a digital camera to create a documentary with my class is a dream come true. My students love learning through technology. They will feel privileged to have an opportunity to take digital pictures and record interviews to document our city's history. Up to this point, I have been supplementing a 20 year old textbook when teaching my students the history of their city. I cannot begin to imagine how excited they will be when they find out they will be creating a documentary as a way to study history.

  • Educate Elementary Students - Movie Protect the Environment

    Thank you so very much for this generous donation to our school. My students were very excited to hear the terrific news.

    Our students have been working tirelessly on their interdisciplinary project with the non-profit organization, Surfrider. They will be using this camcorder to create an educational documentary on the environment for local elementary students. This year they have learned a great deal about graphic design. Having access to video equipment will enhance their overall appreciation and understanding of this growing industry. It is very satisfying for us to see our students' hard work and knowledge transfer to elementary students.
