Don't Step On the Artwork !
Funded Nov 2, 2009I would like to thank you for your generous contribution to our art room. Before we received the drying racks you donated, we had to place wet paintings all over the floor, and many times they were stepped on. Now that we have the drying racks, my students don't have to tip-toe through the art room anymore! Art is a great way to teach kids to try again when they are not pleased with their first result. Because my students know that there is now extra space to store wet paintings, they feel free to create multiple works of art until they get it just right.
When the boxes arrived, I pulled one of the drying racks out right then and there to show my first grade class. They were so excited that they started jumping around and cheering. One student exclaimed that it was as big as a dinosaur. He decided it should be named the "Dryer-riar," and the name has stuck.
