I was thrilled to login to my account one day this past summer to see that the SmartBoard project we were working on for the classroom had been funded! Through hard work on my students part AND YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS... we were, together, able to fund this amazing project in less than four months. I am waiting until now to write this letter to you so I can really portray how this technology has helped our classroom.
Now that it is up and running, we use the SmartBoard EVERY day. We use it to make anchor charts that I can print off and display or send home. We can save what we are working on and refer back to it. We use it for interactive games that help us in our learning. We use it for writing, calendar, math, science projects, and so much more. I look forward to continually learning what can be technology and implementing it in the classroom.
Thank you so much for donating to our project. The new whiteboard has been put to good use. My students are thrilled about it and so am I. We use it every single day.
My students love posting their work on it and they love how clear it is in comparison to what we had before. I often use the whiteboard to enhance my lessons or to provide clear visuals for what we are practicing. We have also been able to project things onto it and that has allowed for interactive lessons. It erases so easily and projects so clearly that it makes constant use very possible.
My students felt very lucky that you decided to donate to our cause. They are very thankful and touched that "people who don't even know us wanted to help us." They also mentioned how much better our classroom looks since we covered our old, non functioning whiteboard!”

Thank you so much for donating to "teaching with technology". The students love learning with the kindles and it has become a great way to motivate students within the learning process. With your help, students within the first grade neighborhood program now have similar technology to their peers in other classrooms. The kindles have brought smiles to faces, confidence within readers who may have not been able, and has brought a fun way to learn reading. We have also begun using the kindles for math!

WOW! I cannot believe the number of donors it took to fund this project! THANK YOU!!! The Grow Lab has arrived and I have assembled it. We are not to the point in our lessons to start planting, however we have used the bookmark making kit already. My first graders adopt a tree and observe the changes to that tree over the school year. They keep a science journal of their observations. Last week we collected a leaf from each tree and pressed them. Today they identified their tree using field guides and then created a bookmark of the leaf from their adopted tree. They were so excited to get to use these resources! Now each student has a keepsake as well as a learning tool to help them identify their tree. We will soon use the Grow Lab to grow some plants in our classroom. We are excited to get started! Thank you for helping us to get these awesome resources in our classroom!”
I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for what you all have done. When I started this project I had serious doubts about my ability to find enough donations to make this happen. It is truly amazing to me that so many generous people have given to this project.
I look forward toward providing a new experience in learning for my students. The ability to offer a paperless classroom for my students is going to make for a very high value experience for them. The world outside the classroom is moving more and more toward becoming totally digital. This experience will give my students the skills to be productive in college and in their chosen career fields.
This project will also provide much needed experience for staff and administration. Currently, my district is working on a plan to provide a one to one computing experience for all its students. I hope that this project will provide valuable experience that I will be able to share with my fellow teachers. The processes and procedures that I develop for my classes will be a foundation on which we can build.
