  • Stand by Me

    Thank you very much for your donation for music stands in my classroom. The stands see daily use in classes such as band and show choir as well as during group lessons and assignments. The stands have helped the students focus on their music studies.

    At the start of the school year, more than half of the band members were beginners. Since then, the students have grown by leaps and bounds. They are not only an elementary/junior high band that understands musical expression, but also students who know that what they are doing is meaningful and worthwhile. Your donation has helped these students develop a love of music.

  • Calculators Desperately Seeking Batteries

    Thank you!  The batteries that you donated arrived in time for the big state test.  My students were now on the same playing field as other students taking the state test.

    But it is what we have been able to do on a daily basis.  The students have been able to learn some very complicated algebra and statistics using the calculators.  It has been a joy watching the students work with the calculators and to see the look of self-satisfaction when they have been able to complete a task.

    If it was not for your generosity none of this would have been possible.  Needing batteries seems like a simple thing, but it had a major impact on my students.  Thank you so much.

  • Bring Technology into Our Curious Classroom

    I want to start by extending our grateful thanks to each and every one of you who donated to our project. I can't fully express my gratitude for all of your generosity. In the world we live in today technology is an important asset in nearly everything we do. The importance of using technology in education will not only prepare our youth for the work force, but allow them to explore and see places and things they may never have the opportunity to do in person.

    The tools that you have funded will allow my students the opportunity to explore and research what this world has to offer through virtual field trips and classroom projects. It will allow students to learn mathematics and other subjects is a visual way. Many of students come from low income homes where having computers is not an option within their house holds; your generosity has made it possible to expose children to technology.”
