Traveling With Flat Stanley
Funded Oct 28, 2009It is with sincere gratitude that I write and thank you for your wonderful contribution to my project that was funded through Donors Choose. The children were so excited when a knock came at our classroom door and a huge box was delivered, along with a smaller one. It was like Christmas in our classroom as I let each child peak into the large box! The children were so proud that our class was "chosen" to receive these gifts!
The books and CD's have been a wonderful resource and a new opportunity for many of the children to learn to listen to books on audiotape/CD. They enjoy picking out and reading along with the storyteller. The cart has made the station very mobile and I am able to rotate it throughout the classroom.
We use the books about maps all the time. Many times when we are researching our Flat Stanley projects and currently to see where the Olympics are being held and where the different athletes are from.
