It is just impossible to fully express my students and my gratitude for your generous donation.
The human body system, simple machine set, and the solar system make a great difference for students that learn and retain information better my touching and experiencing. Especially Mike, the human body system, instantly became a member of our small team.
In times of budget cuts additional resources are scares. However, those resources make the difference for my students between succeeding and failing. We used the material to prepare for the past Regents/ RCT examine week, and many of my students retained specific facts by recalling their activities with your donations.
Thank you so much for your generous donations! Thanks to all of you we now have shiny new laptops in our classroom! From the moment that the boxes arrived my students have been thrilled. They were amazed to receive such gifts from people that they didn't even know. Besides providing us with an extremely useful resource, I think you have also taught them a lesson in kindness and generosity towards our friends and strangers alike.
Over the past few weeks, my students have learned to use a laptop first and foremost. Those little mousepads are tricky for some 6 year old fingers! I have also developed a schedule so that each child has a designated time to use the computer. They have begun an individualized reading program (which motivates even the most easily distracted students to read) and an individualized math program that can help each child with exactly what they need. I also let them use the laptops during free time which is often first choice for many.
I can't possibly explain the extent to which you have expanded the opportunities of my students. I hope that the pictures show a glimpse of how much they truly appreciate your gifts. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for making this dream a reality.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kutch
