The Society for New Communications Research challenges its Fellows, Vendor Council and members to help teachers implement great ideas using new communications and social media tools and technologies! Here's just one example of the teachers' proposals we're supporting: "As I struggled to create an amazing rapport with my students, I also struggled to keep them interested," writes one teacher "When the topic of blogging was brought to my attention, I perked up. After attending professional development meetings, spending some time on my site, and most recently, having someone come to my classroom to assist in introducing the topic, we are now MATH Bloggers!" The teacher plans to pose in-depth math problems in class that students will collaboratively work on methods, hints and various ways to achieve the solution.
