  • Drawing Supplies for Young Artists

    Funded Dec 17, 2008

Thank you so much for funding this grant! With the recent budget cuts for education in California, my school is struggling to purchase even necessities like pencils and paper. Needless to say, art supplies are definitely out of the question for my school's budget. I'm so happy and relieved to know that I'll have these materials for teaching art to my students. They really love art, and I think it's so important to give all students an opportunity to develop their artistic creativity. I can't wait to share this news with my class, and get started teaching them drawing techniques.

    With sincere thanks,

  • Help Us Paint A Masterpiece!

    Funded Dec 22, 2008

Wow! I was absolutely elated to find out that my proposal has been funded! You have made 60 first grade students and their 3 teachers incredibly happy! These new art supplies will enhance our students educational experience in an incredible way. We have been studying owls for the last month and now the kids can demonstrate their learning through art. The next topic we are studying is the port near our school, and I can only imagine the beautiful watercolor pieces that will come out of it. I cannot wait to share the good news with my colleagues and students when we get back to school. A million appreciations to you and your generous giving spirit this holiday season”

  • Keep Art In The Classroom!

    Funded Dec 10, 2008

I can not begin to thank you enough for your generous donation. My students love art and the limited supplies that we have are all broken or worn out. We use art to supplement our curriculum and give students a deeper understanding of the subject matter. My first graders also love the opportunity to be creative and explore new materials. The art supplies would last all year and ensure that art will not be a forgotten subject. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for us.

    Sincerely,

    Leah ”

  • Bringing The Arts To Life!

    Funded Dec 23, 2008

I am so grateful to have received funding for my project. This year has been especially difficult to provide music, art, and dance to our students. With a school that could be heading into program improvement, I truly believe that the items that you have funded for our 100 third graders will serve to create more of the whole child! Thank you for donating to my project and for being willing to invest in the students' future. It means so much to me and the other third grade teachers at my school who work tirelessly to provide for our students' many needs.

I can't wait to show my third graders all of the supplies that you have provided. Our VAPA (visual and performing arts) rotations are their favorite part of the week. They will be so excited!

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

    Sincerely,

    Autum”

  • Bringing Art Back to All Classrooms

    Funded Dec 20, 2008

Thank you so much for funding our project, "Bringing Art Back to All Classrooms!" Our students will be thrilled and I cannot wait to tell them will be beginning art class in January. At least once a week, a student asks me, "Ms. W, when are we going to have art again?" Your generous donation means a great deal to us--to our school community. With California threatening to cut our public education budget by 10 billion dollars, one begins to wonder where our priorities are and what type of education do we want to give to our students in our public schools? Thank you again for providing us with the materials to enable us to give our students quality art lessons and the strong message that ones education is to be well-rounded no matter where you go to school”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wang

  • Art Room Basics - Please Help!!

    Funded Nov 21, 2008

How fantastic to learn that my donation request has been funded! Right in time to start the new school year with a wonderful and inspiring assortment of materials. My students will be thrilled to know that help is on the way! I always try to provide them with authentic, quality art materials and we've been running low on the kinds of materials your donation will purchase. Deepest thanks for your generosity and support of my students”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Keir
