It is with mixed emotions that I am participating in Mustaches for Kids. That's right, for the next four weeks, I will be subjecting myself to public humiliation and private doubt by growing what will no-doubt be a ridiculous looking Mustache. In order to justify this endeavor I need your support. Please sponsor my Mustache by picking a classroom project from the list below to support. And wish me and my Mustache luck. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donation to this project. Some of the equipment is still on back-order, so my students are anxiously awaiting it's arrival. This WII gaming system will give my students a chance to be creative and have some fun in music class. The WII music game will reinforce many of the music concepts we learn in class. Many of my students have never played the WII before and are so appreciative of the opportunity to learn how it works. They really couldn't believe that people would donate so much money for them to have something to use in school. It was a great conversation about how people help each other out. So, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share that lesson with them. Thank you again for being so generous!”

Thank you so much for you generous donations. Our band really needed these supplies. Many of the school owned instruments have ligatures that are missing a screw and don't hold the reed on properly. These new ligatures are going to make sure the reed stays in place, which will make my woodwind section sound great! We are playing several pieces of music that require a gong, vibra slap and whistles. We weren't getting the desired sound without these instruments, now the song sounds complete. Thank you for supporting my band and for helping make my band students sound the best they can. I truly appreciate your kindness and support.”

Our wonderful new tenor saxophone arrived today! You should have seen the excitement on the faces of my students. They know the importance of a balanced sound in the band and how this instrument will help to even out our sound. Thank you so much for supporting this project. This instrument would have never been able to fit into our school budget. My students and I are so grateful for your generosity. This instrument will be able to balance out our band for many years to come. Thank you again for your support and for giving us the gift of music.”

This is a wonderful day! The new clarinet arrived at my school today. I cannot wait to tell one of my students that they will now be able to learn how to play the clarinet. They are going to be thrilled! I have a list of students who have expressed an interest in playing in the band. Unfortunately my list of students is longer than the list of instruments in my inventory. However, today my inventory list got a little longer. This clarinet is a wonderful gift to my students and my band program. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn and play music. Thank you for being so kind and generous to my students. We certainly appreciate it!”
