I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My students and I use our classroom projector literally everyday. Your generosity has enabled me to do all the things I wanted to do with a permanent classroom projector, and infinite things I never even imagined.
I am a fourth grade math and science teacher. We have done virtual science experiments, watched videos about the careers and professions that use the skills we're learning about, and of course the occasional "Magic School Bus" episode. (They tie in so nicely with our science lessons :-) ).
In addition to exciting math and science lessons, I have been able to broaden my students' sociological perspectives enormously. My classroom constantly takes advantage of our culture's instant transference of information and news. We have watched Anderson Cooper report on Libya and Japan, learned about nuclear disasters and the importance of renewable resources, skyped college students to gain their perspectives, and so much more.
On behalf of all my students, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Your donation continues to change lives.”
Thank you for the netbooks for my classroom. My students love using them in the classroom. They are an excellent way for students to get extra practice in the specific skills they need at their desk when they finish their work early. They love playing educational games and do not even realize they are learning.
I have purchased an external drive and putting new games on them to provide an even bigger impact on my students' learning. Words can not express how thankful I am for the new addition to our classroom. Thanks again for your wonderful contribution to making this dream a reality.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. McClure

This was by far the most supported project that I have ever posted, and it was by far the most fun, the most education, and the best all around project that I have completed with my class. After collecting our DNA samples and waiting what seemed like an eternity, 5 weeks, our class was able to compare our collective results. Students were separated into 5 different haplogroups based on their maternal ancestors most recent migrations. Then I started a count down through time and the different haplogroups converged based on when they groups had first separated. In the end, at 80,000 years everyone was once again a part of the same group. Students were amazed that their ancestors had traveled such long distances. Other students were surprised at the halpogroups that they were a part of. My haplogroups was common, it is a Native America linage, and many students were surprised that we shared such a close ancestry since I am not a part of their same ethnic group. One student in class found out that their maternal ancestor was from West African, despite her never having known of any African relatives. Altogether this project brought the class together and spurred their imaginations. Thank you once again for giving us this opportunity.”

Thank you so much for your generous support. In these difficult economic and funding times, it is very hard to obtain needed resources for classrooms. The calculators that your donations provided are used by students in my classroom everyday to help strengthen their skills and knowledge of math concepts. These calculators allow the students to see the graphs as they study various functions to deepen their understanding.
Many of my students recently took the ACT test. I went to school on Saturday and checked out the calculators to them for use on the test. As students returned the calculators, many of them commented that the math was easy.
I cannot thank you enough for the opportunities that these students will have as a result of your support.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Parbs
