  • GPS Units High School Earth Science

    Funded Apr 9, 2008

The Earth Science students at the High School for Health Careers and Sciences want to thank you for your generous donation that enabled the purchase of four GPS units. We went on our hiking trip in March and only had two GPS units. Next year, when we are adequately equipped, the trip will be even more informative and enjoyable. These units will enable us to create profiles, determine latitude and longitude, evaluate elevation gain, and create maps of our hiking experience. Thank you again for your donation to Donors Choose and for making our desire for GPS units a reality”

    With gratitude,

On behalf of the students of Kohn Elementary School, thank you for everything.

  • Learning with Computer Software

    Funded Jan 22, 2008

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. The students in my classroom love to work on the computer and they learn so much from the websites they interact with. It is going to be so much fun to have them learn on these new computer software CDs. I cant wait for them to get started and learn. Children with autism are often underestimated and my students have progressed so much. They are going to improve even more with your help. Thank you so much.

  • Francisco Media Academy Directors' Guild

    Funded Jan 11, 2008

Thank you for your generous support of Francisco Middle School. Currently our Media Arts students are adapting their personal narratives to three act storyboards. I am excited because when your donation arrives it will be possible for the students to bring these storyboards to life using film.

Beginning next semester, the students will use the film equipment as part of our youth empowerment curriculum to create a documentary film which will address a student-identified need in our community.

    Thank you for your generosity.

    Sincerely,

    Steven K

  • Podcasting Across the Curriculum

    Funded Jan 11, 2008

Thank you for funding this project. Technology is often pretty far down on the priority list for schools so teachers have to find creative ways to incorporate up to date technology in the classroom. Having these iPods will help us to continue our technology integration efforts despite the fact that we will not have a computer lab next year”

  • Calling All Calculators!!!

    Funded Jan 7, 2008

Thank you so much for funding my classes proposal. Now each of my students in a class will definitely have their own personal calculator. So often students would have to share calculators, which led to wasted time and copying. Your kindness enables students to work independently through speed, force, density, etc. problems with more speed and accuracy. As a result more time can be spent on analyzing, connecting, and concluding skills. Thank you so much. Your generosity is enormously appreciate. Have a great 2008”

  • Extreme Makeover

    Funded Dec 29, 2007

Thank you for funding this proposal. This is a special proposal to me because the school district supplies school materials; however furniture is another thing. My classroom is in need of new furniture because the old furniture is worn and old. It has been around for many many years. Therefore, the students and myself are very thankful for getting this proposal funded. These new tables will brighten up our classroom and make it conducive for a positive learning environment. Once again thank you for funding this well needed proposal”
