Welcome to our Wedding page! In lieu of gifts, our wedding wish is to help classrooms get the supplies they need to learn. Please help us by picking a classroom project from the list below to support. We look forward to celebrating our special day with you! We would like to thank all of our friends and family who have already helped out by giving a tax-deductible donation.<br>

I would just like to take a moment to thank you again for your generosity in donating to my class' project, "Making History Come Alive." The television and DVDs that your donation helped to provide, has made it possible for my class to easily connect with and gain understanding about some of the most important moments in the history of the world. Since receiving the television and DVDs, we have studied WWI and have begun studying WWII. Your donation has made it so that my students can truly witness history, not just read about it in a book. The Holocaust is so much more impactful to students when they can sit and watch the horror and devastation rather than just hear someone talk or read about it. This has truly been a wonderful blessing for my students. Thank you!”
I would like to thank you for your donations to Camp Fit 2010. There was such a tremendous response to the program, we are now about to embark on Phase II. In Phase I we did physical activity through Sports. Volleyball, Basketball. We also had an opportunity to teach to the kids the aspects of living a Healthy Lifestyle. Since the program was introduced we have seen a change in Attitudes, a change in Academics, Modified behavior and ALOT of weight loss because of activity. Thank you!”

Thank you so much for donating the ELMO document camera to my classroom. We have only had it for a few short weeks and it has already become an invaluable part of my teaching. My students were amazed the first time I took it out of the box and hooked it up to our projector. They had no idea that technology like this existed. Despite this, they have quickly become enamored with it, and love to come up in front of the class to show their writing or something that they have done, to the rest of the class. The ELMO has also made it much easier for us to discuss pieces of literature from books that we only have one or two copies of. Now instead of sharing books and looking over eachother's shoulders, I can hook up the ELMO and everyone can see. This has been especially wonderful for my students with low-vision.
I hope in the pictures you can get an idea of all the wonderful things we can do with our ELMO. Thank you, your generosity has just "tickled" us!”
Thank you for the generous donation of the Time Magazine for Kids. This is a wonderful resource for the classroom. The students have been using the Time Magazine for Kids to learn about functional text. We have used it for finding fact and opinion, reading comprehension, writing mini reports, and finding out about worldly news. The students have learned a lot from Time Magazine for Kids. It is fantastic to go around the room after I hand out an issue and hear the kids talking to each other about facts they have learned from the Time Magazine for Kids.
Thank you again for this wonderful resource. We are very grateful for your donation!”
Thank you for your generous donation. With the addition of recently released and engaging young adult novels to our classroom, we have more and more students reading. In today's world, fewer and fewer teenagers are spending the time reading books, a lot of their time reading is spent on the latest technology devices. However, when we have books like these available to young people, they are once again getting "lost in a book."
In these budget strapped times where education is not a priority, we have really felt the pinch in the classroom. Sometimes it is even hard getting enough paper for the school year. Getting a the gift of books and newly released, contemporary fiction is like a dream come true.
Donors like you are making the difference in education right now. ”

Thank you so much for your generous donation. With the Shakespeare Made Easy books we are making Shakespeare's plays so much more accessible to students. Many students are "turned off" to Shakespeare and his great writings because they find the language so difficult to comprehend. With these books, they can read the translated version of his plays right along with the original text. Students will not only gain a fuller understanding of his plays but will also begin to see why Shakespeare was such a master at his craft.
There have been huge budget cuts in education in our state, we are operating at a bare bones level and more budget cuts are predicted in the next few months. With donations like this we are able to continue to provide our students with valuable resources and materials.
Your generosity is deeply appreciated. ”

Thank you for the differentiated reading sets. Students read at all different levels and it is difficult to have books that meet every student's need. With this books, I am able to break the students into their ability groups and have them read and discuss books that are interesting and challenge them. When a child reads a books that is too difficult for them, they begin to shut down and not care for reading anymore. I thank you for preventing that from occurring in my classroom. To see the joy in their faces as they read a chapter, discuss what is going on with a small group at their level, is amazing.
Your giving hearts have promoted giving and kindness in my students hearts as they now are looking for community projects to help others. This week we are creating holiday cards for soldiers overseas.
I hosted a New Book Preview yesterday and the kids were overwhelmed and elated with all the wonderful new books your donations provided. The 4th and 5th graders were particularly excited because it has been a long time since we've had so many new selections and they had started to tire of seeing the same books year after year. Many students who haven't been excited about reading in a long while will dive right in to the wonderful selections we were able to purchase.
A lot of my kids don't have the resources at home to help them down their path to lifelong literacy and the budget cuts over the last few years have made it increasingly difficult for educators to provide them with all they are lacking. I hope you understand that your generosity has helped us in our quest to elevate these students as high as possible. Through your donations you have shown them that they are not alone, that people are rooting for them and that the kindness of strangers is not a myth. Thank you for reaching out to them.”
Thank you all so much for funding this project. I am so excited for my students! It is hard to express how much I appreciate your donations in words. With such a great focus on Reading and Math these days, it is a challenge to find time to incorporate a deep Science lesson into each day.
With your donations my students will now be able to have memorable and engaging science lessons. Bill Nye will be the perfect accompaniment for each lesson. We will soon be able to learn more about the human body, gravity, motion, and space! These DVD s will make learning fun and exciting for my students.
I, along with my fellow 5th grade teachers, cannot wait to share these educational DVD s with our students. Thank you again.”

I am so grateful to all of you for your generous support. The dictionaries are used daily to help my students put words in alphabetical order, locate definitions for new vocabulary words, and find the correct spelling of words when writing. My students love to look through the dictionaries at the pictures and get excited when they find words they recognize.
Our school is currently faced with a funding deficit, so we are not getting the resources students need to be successful. Without your assistance my students would not be able to learn the dictionary skills necessary for continued academic success.
Without donors like you, many classrooms like mine would have to go without.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Norberg
