I am proud to announce that I am participating in Mustaches for Kids! Thank you so much for your generous donation. The students were thrilled to learn that there were people in different parts of our country who cared enough to help us purchase flash drives. They were really excited when I told them that the order of flash drives was getting ready to ship! Although these are second grade students, they have become very proficient using computers. They absolutely love to use them, so I like to incorporate them into my curriculum as much as possible to "sneak in the learning". However, this is the first year that my students were able to take home their movies to keep and to share for years to come. Their parents were very thankful for the drives. Many have said that they have taken the drives with them to visit relatives to share their children's work.
It is great to know that there are still caring people out there who will help educators continue to practice creative educational solutions to our everyday classroom concerns. As an educator it is so important for me to constantly engage student learning through meaningful classroom experiences, such as through technology based projects. Meaningful technology based projects really help to motivate the students and are great experiences for both the high and the low learners in the classroom. It really inspires the students to do their best and it allows me to assess their knowledge based on their application of the strategy taught. All of this is accomplished while the students are having a great time! We used our new flash drives to store the movies the students had created throughout the year. Due to your generosity, my students had a wonderful experience applying what they learned about personal narratives, reading strategies, spelling rules and sequencing while learning how to use the iMovie Mac program. What a great way to inspire students to develop not only their basic skills but also their creativity! Thank you again for your generosity!”

Thanks and gratitude for your generous donation of our Spanish/English dictionaries! The dictionaries have allowed students to access real world high interest materials, and develop greater engagement in the Spanish-speaking world around them every day. Students have enjoyed using the dictionaries to increase their target language vocabulary and satisfy curiosities of the meaning of specific phrases they may have heard. As a teacher, I have been able to increase the practicality of assignments I have issued, because the students are no longer limited in the vocabulary they can use and understand. The bottom line is; your donation has increased student engagement and achievement. Thank you!!!”
This is a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The play items that you have donated make a fantastic addition to my Drama Station. We have used them to practice sharing, teamwork, getting along with others, tapping into our creative sides, and of course, playing pretend. These items will be used for years to come.
Our school does not qualify for funding for these "extras" that are actually crucial for a full-day kindergarten program. Without your help, it would be extremely difficult for me to purchase these items out-of-pocket. For kindergarten students, imaginative play is one of the most important aspects that contributes to social and creative development!
Without donors like you, many classrooms would simply go without. Thank you from all of us.
Thank you so much for contribution to the LCD projector for my classroom. It has become an indispensable resource in my classroom- one which is hard to remember being without. It has become quite effortless to enhance my students comprehension of the content by showing them a video. The word "cassette," a vocabulary word is much easier to explain with a visual- something that I can now show them with just a few clicks on my laptop.
My students' favorite activity that we have used the projector for was watching the movie March of the Penguins. I showed it to them to accompany a story in their reading books about emperor penguins. Time limited us from watching the entire documentary but they haven't stopped talking about what they learned about the penguins. They laughed watching penguins slide on their bellies and sat perfectly quiet still in anticipation of the first chicks hatching. They were fascinated.
Teaching an inclusion class can be challenging. The students with learning disabilities are easily grouped by people outside of the classroom as "not capable" of understanding the content. Having this resource has had a great impact on the level of engagement in the classroom, especially with the special education students. Showing them the content is as simple as powering up the projector. It has made the content so much more accessible for all of my students.
In a time where there seems to be so much economic uncertainty, I am so grateful for people like you who are there to answer a call for assistance for some very deserving young people.”

I would like to mention to the team that this has been a wonderful experience that has totally transformed my teaching in the classroom.
I am looking forward to sharing the information that I have learned to other teachers in my building so they can also benefit from the computer as well. They have expressed in interest in becoming a part of Donors.org to teach their students about the fundamentals of computers and the Internet.
Once again I would like to thank Donors.org for giving me the opportunity to become a part of such a fine organization that has helped me become a better teacher in my classroom!
Thanks again,
Benjamin Edoff”
