You can make a difference
The Holiday season is about giving, and I've chosen this year to give to schools, and children who need our help.
Why teachers and children, and not some other fund?
My goal is to help people who can't help themselves. This includes children, who don't have a choice (usually) in what school they attend, or how much pocket money the teacher has (usually very little, which shouldn't be the case!) to spend on projects that make the learning environment more fun, and a better (safer) place to learn. I've known teachers to buy the supplies themselves (even if they are barely able to) and even go as far as to help children's parents out financially (buying clothes, food, etc) in poor-er districts. These teachers deserve a break.
I challenge you
I'm not asking you to donate to this fund, or to even come back and see the progress. I'm challenging you to help children and teachers, by looking through the proposals on the board, or by going to a school and helping the teachers yourself.
For those of you who know me, I'm asking that you do not spend money on a holiday present for me this year, and instead donate to this Challenge. hide
