  • How do you spell write? Right?

    Thank you very much for the Franklin Spell Checkers you donated to my classroom. As an upper grade teacher, I love to watch my students experience the joy of improving and developing their writing. When I introduced the spell checkers to my students they were so excited to have this technology. Many of my students had never used one before. The donated spell checkers allow my students to independently edit their work therefore producing work they are proud.

    The classroom my students will go to next year have the same spell checkers and will benefit from knowing how to use them. When they are given the state writing assignment, our students will be adept at using spell checkers.

  • Desperately Needed Classroom Materials for Band Classes

    I'm overwhelmed! I'm so grateful that you have chosen to give to my project! Music education is becoming harder and harder to fund. We all value it, but unfortunately there isn't enough money to go around, so it's the first to get cut. Only with donations like yours are we able to continue. This is especially true for our low-income students, who, without your help, might not be able to participate in band at all.

    The materials purchased in this project are materials that go directly to the students. These include reeds, valve and slide oil, and cork grease. These materials are used on a daily basis by every student. They can also be expensive--especially the reeds. With this generous gift, we are able to offer these materials FREE to the students.
