From the Floor, to the Library Lounge...
Funded Dec 3, 2009I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of our library. Your personal commitment was incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal. Your assistance means so much to me but even more to my students. This is evident in how much joy I see when they are using the library.
Over the last several weeks, I've seen a shift in the mentality of my students regarding "library time." My students are eager to go to the library. I've seen more expressive language from my most quietest of students. The children enjoy retelling stories we've read in the past. All of these things are great to see. One of the best things about this library is seeing my students asking their peers or adults to sit with them, so that the student can "read" to their guest.
After the parents had learn of your generosity, I received a large donation of books for the library. Your gift to us was turned into more than just a place to sit, it became a catalyst to engage parents and to facilitate literacy in young children. ”
