Our class truly appreciates that you care about us! As you already know, we were in desperate need of chairs to replace the old chairs that were getting in worse shape by the day. My students were so amazed to learn that people from all over the country would be willing to share their hard earned money just to help us. When the project was funded, they couldn't wait to see the results! Because it was a "summer proposal", some of the pictures will show my students who are now in another class along with my new students. This made the project even better because the older students now feel that they were able to help improve the classroom for the younger students! The chairs have helped improve concentration and learning in the class that will last for years to come. It's touching to know there are people like you willing to give in such a big way! Thank you! ”
Thank you so much for you generosity and making this project possible. I was able to use the supplies in an after school class last school year. The students were so excited to be taught a new art technique they had not done before.
I will be using the rest of the supplies in this upcoming school year. I believe that incorporating art and writing will help a large percentage of the students to improve their writing. Studies have shown that many students are visual learners. The students will be writing a story about themselves related to their Linoleum print.
Thanks again for helping my students have a new experience. ”
Thank you so much for your generous donations. With your help our students got new fun instruments (they call them "toys") that they can use to deepen their musical skills and well as reading comprehension.
Students are able to use the instruments to illustrate the sounds in a story, thus getting a deeper understanding. Student are now able to make up their own sound stories and share them with the classmates.
The chimes, the thunder drum, rain sticks and frog guiro are probably their favorite instruments.
And again, thank you so much for your generous donations. We value your belief in music education.”
Words can not express the gratitude I felt when I found out that my project was funded. I had tears in my eyes to know that there are people like you out there who are willing to donate your hard earned money to students and teachers that you have never met. When I brought the boxes in to show my students, they were overwhelmed with excitement and were so excited to cerate thank you notes to show their appreciation.
The dedication that people like you show to education and especially to the arts is amazing. By your donation, you have contributed to the lives of over 300 young, budding artists. The students of our school are so very grateful for your gratitude. They are a very artistic group of young students, and our art classes give them the opportunity to express their feelings an emotions in very different ways than they would in thier own classrooms. Some of our students come from very low income homes and the only exposure they have to art supplies such as crayons, markers of colored pencils is in my art classroom. Your generous donation has given some of these students the opportunity to experience and use these supplies all year long.
My students were so excited to start the year knowing that they could now use art materials such as watercolor pencils and colored pencils! We rarely used those materials due to the amount of pencil sharpening involved. ( Your hand gets tired of cranking a manual sharpener after a while!)
A sincere thank you goes out to all of the wonderful people who chose to donate to our school for our project thank you and we love you for who you are and what you helped us to create. You never know, because of your donation, we may have just created another Georgia O'Keefe or Vincen Van Gogh!!!”
A million thank yous for the beautiful colors of construction paper that you have generously donated to my class. You will see samples of this lovely paper in the cards that the children made for you. The good thing is, you can display them in the sunlight, and the colors won't fade!
Making cards is only one of the many, many ways we will utilize this special; paper. We can use it for projects throughout the curriculum as well as for art. In Reading, we make story maps for sequencing skills. In Math, students construct 3D geometrical forms, and won't this paper make a gorgeous square pyramid? In Science, we chart growth of plants and make diagrams of life cycles. These are just a few examples of how we will make use of your gift. The projects will look great on this paper, and the children will feel proud. Student work will "pop" on the bulletin board.
In this time when funding is the worst I've ever seen in public schools, it is especially nice to have people like you out there who care about the quality of children's education. I assure you that your generosity in this donation is greatly appreciated, and will make a difference in my students' educational experience.”
Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. It is wonderful to know that you are concerned about providing a quality public education to all students in our state.
My students will be so excited to have these recorders to learn to play this year. With budget cuts at the state, district, and school level, my students have not had access to music instruction this year. With these musical supplies, my class will be able to practice rhythm, learn how to read notes, and most importantly, develop an interest in music.
Thank you so much for your contribution to my student's learning. The equipment you provided has already made an impact on the students at JHS.
This year's poetry slam was even more successful than last year, at least in terms of student participation. We had more poets this year than ever with many of them sharing multiple works in course of the evening, and every moment was captured forever as the camera rolled. DVDs were formatted for all of them and distributed along with journals we bought for them so they could share their experience with friends and family who couldn't attend.
Perhaps most important, every one of them said they intend to participate again next year. Even the seniors have asked to be informed of the date so they can return and share during the open mike segment. This is the sign of true impact as it has grown beyond a one-time event into potentially life-long opportunities.
I won't rest there. I'm already looking into ways we can use the resources provided in regular classroom instruction, such as student-produced scenes from literature and class presentations. Thank you again for your support in my quest for making every student successful in education, and in life.”
Thank you for supporting our mural project. It is so important to my students in many ways. First, they will get to understand part of their culture of their former country, Mexico. We will study the works of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo and their impact on the art world in the 20th century. Then we will look at contemporary American mural artists, such as Wyland and Haring. After studying art history, we will begin to work in teams. Students will begin to enlarge their drawings and learn about color relationships. Finally they will learn how to draft their sketches onto the mural canvas and paint it! There is a lot of work that goes into this project and we are hoping to finish it within a month's time, with the exception of two weeks off during the testing weeks.
This is an opportunity that will be very important to our art students.
Without your generous donations I could not have brought this exciting unit of Aboriginal art to my students. The supplies purchased with your donations have made it possible for the students to have thick poster board, dowels in a variety of sizes, lots of colors of acrylic paint, paint trays with lids, and a wonderful array of Australian animal books..
The resulting projects from this lesson will be on display around the school and at our annual arts festival in town.
Consideng the strict budget cuts education in general is undergoing I surely could not have brought this exciting unit to the children without your help”
We, as a Pre-K class in Middle Georgia, are full of gratitude for the wonderful materials that all of the donors of this project have provided through donations. We really appreciate every donation and are so happy that you chose us to donate to.
Even though Pre-K students are emergent readers, the materials you donated to us will help them have a strong foundation as they grow as readers. We love to make all kinds of class books, and they love to draw and cut all kinds of paper. It's wonderful to see how proud they are of their work, and I love it when they want to take it home and share it with their families. Again, thanks for your help! We love y'all!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nobles
