On September 12, 2017, Lee Elementary magnet school suffered total loss as a result of a 3-alarm fire. The fire is believed to have been caused by damage related to hurricane Irma, and started immediately after power was restored to the schools neighborhood. Constructed in 1906, Lee elementary was Tampa's oldest brick schoolhouse and it is a devastating loss to the community. Students and teachers lost everything in their classrooms as they awaited to return to school in the aftermath of hurricane Irma.

Lee Elementary was a technology magnet school and will need significant help restocking and rebuilding to return to a sense of normalcy. Please consider donating to help Lee Elementary students and teachers rebuild their classrooms.
