  • Capturing Vermont Digitally Through the Eyes of the Student

    Funded Dec 19, 2007

Thank you for your generosity. You have enabled me to launch a full unit based on photo essays. In the past only the few lucky ones have had a chance to capture their photos in a way that the whole class (school) can enjoy. Now each student will have the same opportunities to show what their world looks like and how that is a part of them. Along with available technologies we have a school these cameras will give us the chance to make professional looking video photo essays and print photos for beautiful display boards”

  • Driving Towards Connectivity

    Funded Dec 19, 2007

Thank for your generosity. This donation will enable my students to bridge the technology gap between home and school in our district. Many of my students have struggled with trying to fulfill requirements due to their inability to get their files home. This will give them an easy way to always have their files with them when they need them. I look forward to sending you pictures and thank you notes from my students”

  • Put An Instrument In Their Hands (Part 2)

    Funded Nov 9, 2007

I teach at a school where students are not always supported at home. Today I taught a student on saxophone. He had begged to borrow an instrument, and his need and desire are so high, he was awarded a school-owned instrument.

At his lesson, he excelled in a way that he normally cannot in his schoolwork. While schoolwork is difficult, sax is natural for him. While he may struggle in schoolwork, get little support at home, and be economically suppressed, he finds success, excitement and self-worth in his music.

Please know that by supporting my project and helping to fund this clarinet, you have just put an instrument into the hands of another child who may find music to be his or her passion, too. You have given a gift to a child that normally would not have been able to afford it.

Thank you. A thousand times over, thank you!

I don't know how I will possibly be able to wait until Monday to tell another student that they get to join the band!!

    Best wishes and thank you,

    Jodi ”

  • Reading at the Kidney Table

    Funded Oct 6, 2007

Thank you so much for the donation. My children will be able to hear the teacher so much easier when she is in the middle of them. It will also make the room quieter so the independent children will have a easier time reading. You have made reading an better place in our classroom. Again, thank you.
