Welcome to Adam Lambert's General Giving group. If you are not a part of a specific fan group, please give any amount to one of the classroom projects below. Adam thanks you for bringing arts and music to life in these classrooms!
Thank you so much for your generosity and your support. It has taken a while but we are now up and running with our Drum Line. It has been very exciting. The students have shown their enthusiasm as they looked forward to getting started. We will continue to procure more drums as the number of students wanting to join the drum-line far exceeds our current supply.
The students who have joined are students who needed to become more connected and successful at school. They are already showing improvement in behavior and attitude as they have a strong desire to remain on drum-line.
I can't say enough to express what a difference the microphones have made to our performances. At our recent performing arts event we were able to hear every word that the children sang on stage. One class in particular performed a short opera that they had written from scratch as a part of their study of opera. The performance involved 8 second-grade soloists and a chorus of about 15 other children. Before we had the microphones, a performance like that would have been impossible; there would have been no way that their 7-year-old voices could have filled a 700-seat auditorium. With the mics, however, we heard every word. It was awesome to see the audience's reaction and the effect it had on the student's confidence and sense of self worth. Thanks to you, their voices were heard.
I'd like to thank you on their behalf for your generosity and support for our performing arts program. Your contribution will continue to have a meaningful impact on the lives of many children.
I don't know how to put into words the amount of gratitude I have for your generous donations. The air conditioner has changed the entire atmosphere of the art room! My students come to class attentive and ready to learn. It is amazing how something so simple can make such a huge difference. Thank you so much!!!
The materials donated to our class are of great use on the daily basis. You can not imagine the positive impact all of the materials you donated have on our learning. We were able to capture precious moments of our field trip to the zoo and print the pictures so that we could put on display what we learned. The dry-erase markers allow each student to use the dry-erase boards to quickly solve problems and show them to the class. Colored sentence strips are beneficial and an important factor on our vocabulary wall. This brief description of the use of the supplies donated to our classroom by you can only begin to show the positive impact you've had on a "Needy Classroom's" educational journey.
Please continue to have warm hearts. I hope that you understand the value your generosity has on our classroom and even our school. ”
How amazing to have so many people give to our music project. Music is nearly extinct in the educational setting of elementary school, and now I have the chance to introduce it again. While I am no musician by any means, I love and adore music's ability to motivate and inspire us. My desire is to see many of my children become musicians, conductors, composers, or whatever they are led to do. This project will help me do that for years to come.
As soon as the instruments arrived, you could see a different kind of enthusiasm in the kids. They wanted to touch them and hold them and see them in action. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and hope your generosity will find you blessed down the road as well.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Meyer

Thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful donations! The kids have already started using the recorders ("they're so pretty!!"), and they sound amazing! I'm teaching them a piece for our Native American Heritage program next month...I'll upload pics as soon as I have them!
I was so pleased to see that Adam Lambert had a page linked to DonorsChoose, and that many of you were moved to give to our school through that link. Your comments about how you learned to play recorder really made this project extra special for me, and I shared that with the kids.
Please continue to give to schools. I wish I could accurately express to you how much it means to have your support!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Harris

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our class project called Art as Resistance. We purchased printmaking materials, paint, paintbrushes, canvas, and charcoal pencils for our students. With these supplies, the students were able to make their own prints for fliers, paint a class mural, and create an individual art piece - all of which were presented at "The Happening," or our celebration of the art and poetry the students have made as acts of resistance. Family and friends of the students were able to see the artwork in a gallery and join in the art-making of our class at the event.
Our students learned that cultural forms of resistance are every bit as powerful as political forms. Expression of our identity, our emotions, and our ideas through visual art and writing is important as a way of taking action in the world. Thank you for helping our students become activists and artists. ”
Thank you so much for donating to my classroom!! The supplies you have donated have helped my students take pride in the classroom. I also noticed that the students have taken more ownership of the classroom and treat the materials with more respect than they have previously. The students truly enjoy using the materials to create various decorations or items in the class.
My class and I just found out that we will be together next year too. This has made my students more excited to use the materials you donated to make signs and decorations for the classroom because they know they will be using and seeing them next year.
I can't fully express my sincere thanks for your donation to our orchestra. It is great to see that you want to share the gift of music with a child. This viola will open doors for many children as they prepare for future music scholarships. I wish you were able to see the excited faces of the children who will use this instrument. Poverty brings much sadness, but this gift will definitely bring a smile to many children. I extremely appreciate you and how much you care about these children to give to them out of a heart filled with love and kindness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Thank you so much for your generous donations. You have created an infectious excitement in my band. The percussion section can't wait to finish acquiring the entire drum line. I will make sure that the drum is treated with the best of care. This will ensure that it can be used for many many years to come.
The size of the drum line is going to double from 2009 to 2010.You have played a major part in this growth. We are going to be performing a disco show this Fall. The songs will include YMCA, Play That Funky Music, The Hustle, and Lets Groove. We are going all out with 70s colorguard uniforms and tied dye flags.
I hope to use the excitement that you have created in the band to spread spirit throughout the entire school. The school has needed a boost and this may be the spark that lights the fire. Thank you again for your contributions.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Ingram
