Thank you very much for the art supplies. My students have benefited tremendously from these supplies.
Unfortunately, my school has a permanent sub for art specials. Therefore, the students are receiving no art education. Thanks to these supplies, I have been able to incorporate art activities into my lessons as well as provide an art center as a prize for students who complete their homework and behave in class. The art center has also worked for soothing students with poor coping skills who are having a rough day.
For science, my students completed a project about the life cycle of a butterfly. They were able to demonstrate their knowledge of the different steps in the life cycle by painting a picture. It was educational, hands on, and best of all the students were able to use their creativity! They were actively learning while having fun.
These supplies have been enriching and educational. Thank you very much for your donation.”
Thank you so much for your generous donation. This year our school is going through many trials on the city and state level, because most of the students do not speak English as their first language, and they struggle daily with the challenges that they have to face to maintain grade level competency in Math and English. These students then come to the music room and see the equipment you donated and their eyes open wide with excitement and anticipation in learning how to use the drum set, or learning new hand patterns and rhythms on the drum pads with the drumsticks.
The equipment is motivating the students to exercise their math skills as they count out how to play rhythms, and helping their sequencing skills as they learn how to navigate the different parts of a drum set. These skills that they learn in the music room, transfer over to their work in Math and English in their classrooms.
The students of P.S. 128 and I are so appreciative of your generosity that has helped the music department of the school grow and flourish.”
Thank you so much for your generous donation. I regret that I have been late in responding to your gift. Due to education budget cuts and lower enrollment in our district I was not able to keep my job as a teacher. I have recently been hired for another district and we are assembling the parts necessary for the students to use the drum set. I know that my students are going to truly benefit from having the opportunity to learn more about music and especially PERCUSSION. Your help and support is making a difference in the lives of my students.”
Your donation has made an ongoing difference in my classroom. The children use the classroom set of markers often and have made crafts with the other materials. Some we have yet to use!
Even at the first grade level, we are pushed to teach to future tests and while it is important that children learn needed skills, they still need to every opportunity explore their own creativity. There's always a sigh of relief and a tingle of excitement when the art supplies come out!
Thank you for your generosity. Without people like you, these under-served children would be missing out on so much!
Thank-you so much for your generosity towards my students and my music program at my school. We are a low income school and the current unemployment rate has hit our students' families very hard. The mallets are wonderful and the student's are having a wonderful time playing new songs with them. Next, to get more instruments to use them with!
Please continue to support this wonderful website in helping deliver needed resources to our countries schools. The donations from people like you have greatly impacted my teaching on a daily basis. My school cannot afford to give me a budget to supply instruments, music, or repairs. Everything I do is through fund-raising at my school, grants, and this wonderful website.”
Thank you so much for your most generous donations toward my Summer project, "We've Got Guitars...Now We Need Everything Else." We use the materials every single day!
The kids use the picks to play their guitars all day. And even though those little things disappear (to who knows where!), we still have plenty of picks left thanks to your generous donations.
The capos have been very useful for the kids to learn how to play in different keys. And the tuners are a generous gift for our more advanced students.
Once again, please know that your donation has gone to GREAT use!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mullen

I love my new art cart! I am putting it together right now and look forward to organizing stuff on it and using the snazzy drying racks in class. It is going to have a lasting impact on my year of art classes this year and in years to come. It is a very well made cart! It is so nice to know that their are organizations like Donor's Choose and amazing people like you to help make teacher's dreams come true. Your support has made this back to school time more organized and lots more fun! Your support makes this public school teacher feel like creative and fun things are still possible, even in a horrible budget crunch. Thanks for letting me dream big for my school! I feel very encouraged by your support. You have made a real difference in my life and the lives of my students. ”
Thank you so much for your donation to my "Music for Young Dancers" project! Your generosity has helped fund the ipod and speakers that I use every day to play music for students in my dance class. Up to 300 children from Pre-K through third grade have had the opportunity to dance jazz, ballet, hip hop, and salsa using music from our new equipment.
My students are so grateful for the music you have provided for us. They love to listen to a variety of songs and styles of music, from classical Tchaikosky to Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber. Without this new ipod and speakers, we would be a dance program without music! Thanks again for giving us the music that motivates our dancing.”
Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom project: "Freestyle Fridays: From Rapping to Reading and Writing!" Words can't describe how grateful we are! The students are really advancing in their writing. Their confidence in both writing and public speaking/performing is soaring! This is translating into the classroom as we see students that WANT to write and are ASKING for writing time now. You made a difference in our students' learning and lives!”
Thank you so much for your donation to this project. My students were so excited when I told them that they now have enough hand bells for everyone in the class to have a chance to play! Students in fourth grade have already used the hand bells extensively in a unit on the notes of the scale. One of my fourth grade classes played "America" on hand bells at our school's veterans day program in November.
My students in first and second grade will use the hand bells in the upcoming months when they learn about the notes of the scale and solfege. They are always very excited when they get to play instruments in my class and now they will have enough so they can all play at once!
Thanks again for your generous contribution to this project! You are helping to bring music alive for my students!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ribelin
