  • Keep Up The Pace!

    Funded Oct 1, 2010

On behalf of the our band program, I would like to offer my most sincere thank you! Your financial support has helped our band program obtain several items that have long been in need for our percussion section.

    xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Through your contributions, we purchased the following equipment for our percussion section.

2 Marching Bass Drum Stadium Hardware stands

Each of these drum stands will alleviate the lower back pain our bass drummers experience on Friday night football games.

    3 Pearl Mountable Trap Tables

Each of these tables can be mounted to any of our mallet instruments to hold additional auxiliary percussion instruments. The ability to place the auxiliary instruments within close proximity of their primary playing area will enable more efficient and accurate instrument changes. The use of these tables will be used throughout marching band and our concert seasons.

1 Innovative Percussion SB-1 Single Stick Bag

This new snare stick bag will replace our old bag that has been held together by duct tape. A small purchase, but desperately needed.

1 Innovative Percussion CC-1 Concert Chime Hammer

Another small purchase, but this chime hammer has assumed a major role in our bell themed marching band show, entitled "Let Freedom Ring."

Our students realize that they will be competing against some of the best marching bands in the state at our upcoming State Semi-Finals (and hopefully Finals) performance in Tampa, FL. As their instructors, we work hard at providing our students with the best quality instruments and resources that we can afford. Unfortunately, arts programs such as ours are neglected from a financial standpoint. Your generous contributions have made a positive impact on how our students perform, but more importantly on the pride that our students have in what they have been able to achieve.

Thank you for your support of music education, and the leaders of tomorrow.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Denaro

  • Music For My Eyes

    Funded Sep 30, 2010

I am very humbled by your gift to our project, "Music to My Eyes!" The addition of these music books to my string classes will make all the difference in the world in the eyes of my students. The books are new and shiny, and that is very important to young students. It makes them feel very important to have nice things!

The string students are working very diligently toward the goal of performing on their string instrument. The motivation your gift has provided will make all the difference in the world to them. The expression on their faces when I opened the "mystery box" that arrived with new books told the whole story. They are thrilled!

Thank you very much for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodberg

  • Panda Piano Adventures

    Funded Sep 24, 2010

I would like to thank You for your constant support of the Arts in Florida. My students are extremely excited and love our new books. Each student can now be challenged to rise to their full potential and I can't wait to hear them perform their new songs.

I was asked a few days ago about the skills that we build in my music classroom and when I thought about it, I couldn't believe how many various educational and life skills we build in a music class.

Thank You again for your generosity and support of our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ward

  • What's a Music Class Without a CD Player?

    Funded Sep 2, 2010

This year our school district was faced with an eighty percent decrease in our supply budget, as a result many teachers were unable to purchase needed supplies and equipment for their classrooms.

Thanks to you, I am no longer in need of a new CD player in my music class. You have made it possible for my students to have a more enjoyable music class. I can now move around more in my general music classroom and also focus more on teaching and for that I Thank You.

Thank you for understanding and appreciating arts education in schools.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ward

  • Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded Aug 24, 2010

Words cannot express my gratitude. The exciting, real-life reading practice you provided for my students have them excited about reading and even getting some great exposure to current world events they would not normally have exposure to. They genuinely enjoy learning when it feels "grown-up".

With the continued cutbacks to school budgets, resources like this are impossible to obtain. With your generous donation we were able to purchase supplies that make the classroom fun! Thank you for thinking of our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Winfree

  • Mrs. C's Star Readers

    Funded Aug 15, 2010

This thank you letter is a small token of my appreciation for all of your donations! The 49 books that were donated to our classroom library have been a big hit! The children are hooked on these books and are reading them over and over again. It has been such a pleasure hearing them speak about these books and how much they have begun to enjoy reading due to having these books in our library.

Most of my students cannot get enough of the series books Iris and Walter and Mr. Putter and Tabby. Partners will share these books and have grand conversations about what they read. To hear students speak about books and characters as if they have come to life has been a real joy. Their reading levels have increased because their interest in reading has increased.

If it wasn't for donors like you, my students would not experience the joy of some of the best in children's literature. Thank you!

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cousins

  • Move to Multicultural Music!!

    Funded Aug 19, 2010

Thanks so much for your wonderful gift! The kids love the instruments! We have been able to put them to good use right away because Hispanic Heritage Month started in mid-September. It is a wonderful excuse (like we needed any!) to bring out our new international instruments.

I think I told you that I had very large classes this year. Having new, fun instruments has really been a great help in managing such large groups. The livelier the class, the better!

These instruments have not just educated, but entertained and motivated the kids! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher

  • Can You Hear Me Now!

    Funded Sep 14, 2010

I want to send a special thank you to each one of you for your generous donation and act of kindness. My students love to hear books on tape and are thrilled to know they will receive a wireless listening center. The frustrations they experienced from old equipment that only works part of the time will come to an end because of you. It is so pleasing to watch them follow the story in a book and laugh aloud when they hear the funny parts. My students that struggle with reading rely on the listening center so they can sit with their non-disabled peers and listen to an age appropriate story. This opportunity allows them to independently interact with materials and text in the general education classroom.

Again, thank you for allowing my students the opportunity to enjoy and learn in their classroom. I hope your day is as bright as you have made ours. Pictures and thank you cards are coming soon! ”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher

  • Making Reading FUN

    Funded Aug 23, 2010

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for your support. I was so excited to receive the reading and listening center resources that you helped to fund. My students were more excited than I was. The listening center, fluency station, and reading comprehension books are used on a daily basis and my students love being at these centers. When I am working with small groups, I can look around the room and see students actively engaged in meaningful activities thanks to your support.

I love knowing that they are learning and having fun while doing it. I have already begun to see an improvement in their willingness to read. I know that their reading fluency and comprehension will improve the more they use these centers. You have positively impacted the success of these students and future students as well.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moses

  • Take Me on a Carpet Ride!

    Funded Aug 19, 2010

The carpet was so pretty and colorful!

When my students came in the morning, they noticed the new carpet right away. They ask me if I bought it and I told them that some good and generous people donated it to us. They ask permission if they can sit and feel the carpet and one even said that "new and clean carpet smells good". I assigned their sitting spots using the letters and the numbers in the carpet which avoided pushing and fighting for a spot during circle time.

The teachers came over in our classroom to share our happiness and gratefulness for the new carpet.

    Thank you so much...”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roxas
