Thank you so much! My students and I are thrilled to have a webcam to use in my Spanish classes. This particular webcam comes with software to allow my students to create an avatar that sounds like them -- even with matching mouth and head movements -- but doesn't look like them so we can safely post their video comments on our class website. I will also be using native speakers of Spanish to record messages to my students that they (my students) will watch in class and respond to in some way. In short, this is going to be a fantastic resource. Watching their classmates speaking Spanish is so much more valuable to my students (not to mention more fun) than just listening to a recorded voice.
What a wonderful surprise when I sat down at my computer today: a confirmation e-mail from DonorsChoose.org was waiting for me. I am so excited about being able to teach this art unit with the proper supplies. My children will learn so much and enjoy completing the paintings that we will create. Being able to teach them these skills, properly, at a young age, is something that can stay with them for the rest of their lives.
