You don't mind that many of the games are overlooked by the national media. • No More Bullies!

    Funded Aug 14, 2008

Thank you so much for making this project possible! As a third grade teacher, I tend to see the beginning of school bullying. It is difficult to know when it will come, but prevention is really the best method. I am so excited to start off a new school year with an anti-bullying plan in place. Your dedication to this project will affect countless numbers of students in the years to come, and I can't thank you enough”

  • Power Up the Natural Way

    Funded Oct 16, 2008

WOW!! I'm so excited!! I can't wait to tell my students that our project was funded. We just had a huge discussion about solar energy because we're recovering from Hurricane Ike. A lot of us went two weeks without power. We talked about all the things we missed and how if we'd had solar panels on our house we could have run our lights, refrigerators and TV. Thank you so much for this opportunity to help my students understand the importance of solar energy.

  • How Clean Is Your Classroom?

    Funded Oct 4, 2008

My students and I are really excited about receiving the materials to make our classroom clean and safe. You wouldn't think that a classroom full of 7th graders would be excited about something like cleaning supplies, but they are indeed. These kids are aware of the importance of cleanliness and safety. Your donation is really going to make a difference in our classroom. We are looking forward to receiving our supplies and putting them to use!

    Thanks again”

  • Water Test Kits for AP Enviornmental Science

    Funded Oct 2, 2008

I am pleasantly surprised that my project was funded so quickly! Your generosity will be felt for years to come through my students' experiences and their knowledge about the importance of keeping our waters clean from contaminants. I strongly believe that hands-on learning is the most important and this laboratory kit will reinforce what they have read about and researched. Thank you for supporting this great laboratory experience with your funding. My students and I appreciate your willingness to give.

    Sincerely,

    Adel”

  • Take Me Out To The Ball Game

    Funded Sep 25, 2008

I would like to thank you very much for your support for our program. I know the students will really enjoy being able to play softball/baseball with gloves. Being able to teach them these skills, properly, at a young age, is something that can stay with them for the rest of their lives. The chances of one of these students playing professional baseball is slim, be their ability to play catch with their children has been realized. Thank you for providing this to my students”

  • Show and Tell is Fun for All Ages! (Part I)

    Funded Sep 8, 2008

Thank you so much for funding my vertebrate show and tell project for ALL of my biology students. I was so surprised when I received the email from DonorsChoose.org that my project had been funded, as I knew that the deadline was approaching, and I was beginning to give up hope. As a result of substantial budget cuts across our state, schools & educators are struggling to provide the best quality education to our students with little or no funding for enrichment activities like this project. I am so excited and bubbling with anticipation at the thought of showing these off to my students!! I can't wait to see their reactions to the animals when they see them and TOUCH them! The unspoken but underlying motto in our county this year seems to be "more with less" (teachers are asked to do more and more with fewer resources). Thank you so much for allowing my students to have this learning opportunity. Your gift is very much appreciated and will make the difference in the education of many students for a long time. Thank you for giving a teacher hope and an avenue for enabling her students to have enriching educational experiences that they would not have otherwise experienced. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated. Warmest regards, Luci”

  • Let's Take A Ride... On The Magic School Bus!

    Funded Sep 3, 2008

This is so wonderful!! Thank you so much for your wonderful generosity. I know our science subject will benefit greatly from all these awsome books. The kids love the Magic School Bus books and to know that they are learning so much for science makes me extremely happy. I assure you that your generous gift to us will be greatly used to our educational advantage. The kids will be very happy and excited to read such interesting books and at the same time fill their brain with important knowledge. I can hardly wait to share the wonderful news with my new bunch of kiddos. It will be like Christmas in September and such a joy to remember.

Thanks and may God bless you and your loved ones with happiness and health.

    Your friend,

    Lu”

  • Don't Count Me Out !

    Funded Sep 2, 2008

On behalf of the Special Education students at Field Kindley High School, I would like to thank you for your generous donation. The calculators will provide needed tools so that these students can be successful in general education Algebra and Science.

Even though they have learning disabilities it doesn't mean they can't be productive and go on to college after high school. Thanks to you this may make their post secondary goals a reality.

    Sincerely,

    Kim ”
