The instruments in my classroom have opened doors for my students that they have never had before. My students faces brighten so much when they enter the room and see the instruments laid out on the carpet. I hear whispers "YES!! We are going to drum today", "Boomtubes are out". It makes me happy to know they are excited about learning music. Some of my kindergarten students are beginning to read simple notation.
This has also effected me as teacher, I am excited to come and teach on an instrument day. It brings me such joy to know my students are enjoying music while learning. It also has helped many students who have some motor skills difficulties. The instruments have changed things more than I ever expected to do so.
I want to thank you again for all your support and generous donation to my music classroom and more important to my students, who I know truly appreciate and have learned a true life lesson of giving to others.”
This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom! We have used the document camera every single day since we have received it. The kids refuse to take notes without it! It has really helped them with their writing skills, which is not even how I intended to use it. We write and give immediate feedback on writing right under the document camera so everyone can see!
Our school is currently facing a budget crunch, and is feeling it even more so after losing a good deal of equipment in a break-in. Without your help, my students would never have been able to have this amazing resource. Writing skills are key, and it is very exciting to see such an improvement so quickly because of this amazing tool.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who took part in exploring the imagination of my 7th and 8th students. Your donation is really of great help and we're so blessed to have all the materials on time. At present, our topic in 7th science is Ecology and teaching is not that hard because they can see a real ecosystem which is the aquarium. Last quarter we used the blood typing kit for our genetics lesson. On the other hand, my 8th graders are benefiting on some exciting and interesting Physics experiments.
Thank you so much for your concern, care and love for education. May God abundantly bless you more.”
Thank you for your generous contributions to my classroom. On top of teaching valuable reading and writing skills, I think a large portion of a Language Arts teacher's purpose is to help to foster a life long love of reading. Sometimes, that can be hard within the confines of school days so focused on passing tests and drilling practice into students heads. That is why I think creating the safe Reader's Paradise was so vital to the overall effectiveness of my classroom. With the addition of the comfortable, fun space for exploring other words, my students are now able to find an oasis within their busy school day to sit back, relax and savor a book.”
I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful gift of art you have shared with my students. The art supplies we have received have certainly been put to good use. My students have created beautiful masterpieces with a variety of materials. The art supplies have not just been used during our playtime. Students use the paints to illustrate their writings. They use the playdough and alphabet punch-outs to spell sight words and "write" sentences. As the holiday season approaches, we have some wonderful projects planned.
I had to laugh when I first set out the fingerpaints. "We use our fingers!?!" It took a while for them to get comfortable with that, but now they are mixing colors and creating masterpieces like pros. These experiences are no longer common in our early childhood programs. Budget cuts have made extras like art supplies all but obsolete. I am so excited that my students have the opportunity to explore their creative side with so many rich art experiences. They will certainly be better for it.
Thank you for allowing me to provide such a powerful learning environment! Without donors like you, our students would have to do without. Your support is greatly appreciated!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Matthews
