My students and I are truly thankful for your donation. The Spanish books that you donated have helped my students with their reading skills. We used them during independent reading sessions in the classroom and even were able to go outside to the garden and read. The classroom library is open to all 157 students from all my Spanish classes. Since the day I received the books 97 students checked out books for the classroom library that now has 70 books, 50 of them donated by you.

Our school library has a limited number of books for my students to take out in Spanish, your donation has allowed my students to read books that the school library does not have and that they want to read. For example, the very popular Twilight series was checked out again and again as well as a very popular book with children's stories including El Patito Feo. Having something that they find interesting to read has helped my students read more and raise their reading level.

Without donors like you my students would not have received the pleasure of reading what they like.”

I am so excited that my project has been funded. My students are going to be so excited to hear that we will be receiving new library books. They love when I read to them everyday and I know they will LOVE the new books. The variety of the reading levels will provide books for every child to read. In addition, these books will be used as part of my lending library in which the students can check these books out and read at home. I want to thank you for donating so many wonderful books for my classroom library. My students were so happy when we received them. They even volunteered to organize them by theme in our library.

My students love to read them in school during center time. They are also allowed to take the books home. I see them exchanging books when they are done reading them.

I want to let you know that your donations mean a lot to me. My students are going to improve their readings skills as they learn new and interesting facts from these wonderful non fiction books.

These books are not only read by one class. I teach two more fourth grade classes, and they also get the opportunity to read and make connections with our science units.

Thank you so much for your generous donation of Lemony Snicket books for our school's library. My students were so excited to see the new books!!! There were many books missing from the series and my students kept asking me for them. It broke my heart that we didn't have the money to replace them.

When my students saw the new books on the shelf, they were overjoyed. They are constantly being checked out, read, and loved. I find that when students find books that they love, it puts them on the path to becoming a life long reader.

I want to thank each of you again for your generous donations to my classroom. The students are enjoying all of the books that were sent to us. They love "checking out" a new book each day to bring home and read with their family. The greatest impact that this donation has made on my students is the availability of Spanish books. Some of my students' parents speak only Spanish, so to give them the opportunity to bring books home in their native language to share is a very special experience for them all.

As you can see from the pictures that I posted, the students love to use the book buddy bags to bring their books home. We have talked about how to keep our books clean and safe by using these bags because all books are special. The pictures also show how excited my students are to read all of the new books. I love having them come into our room in the morning and say "Can I check out a new book"? or "Look, I brought my book back"!

Please know that each of your donations has impacted a child here in Chicago in the most positive of ways. It couldn't have been done with out you and for that I am very thankful.”
