It always amazes me when people step in to show children that they really are cared for, which is what each of you did for all of my students. All of the comprehension materials that you helped provide for these kids were very much appreciated.

Third grade is a very tough year for many children, and comprehension is one of the hardest concepts to understand. They know how to read, but struggle with understanding what they are reading. The many games and card sets that you helped get for us have really benefited my students in a big way. They have been able to play games with each other that helped them with the various comprehension strategies. Before our state testing, they were able to practice test prep materials with the many card sets. Overall, they just had a huge variety of new materials to choose from. Instead of fighting to have to learn something, they are now having fun.

We really want to thank you for what you have done for our class. It means a lot to know that people do care for children and their futures. My students are going to work hard to prove to all of you that they can succeed in their futures. Thank you again for your support! ”

We absolutely love the new technology in our classroom!! The iPads are a great addition to our literacy center time. The children enjoy reading books online and accessing various games that help them with spelling, decoding, and math skills. They have learned so much by using the iPads.

The iPads are convenient to use and store. Surprisingly the children can operate them with ease. They take such good care of them and are so grateful to have them as part of our classroom. Wow! The iclickers have revolutionized my classroom. My students are so excited to practice their math facts. Their math fluency has increased dramatically. I have even expanded their use into other subject areas. I have created review games that test students' knowledge of vocabulary and meanings of Greek and Latin root words. The impact on student achievement has been enormous and will only continue due to your generous donations.

Many of my students were previously afraid to take risks in their academic work. If they were unsure of something, I could watch their body language immediately change as their heads would drop and they would avoid eye contact at all costs! Now, they enter my room exclaiming, "Are we using the clickers today?" They sit tall in their desks and anxiously await the next question. As we use the iclickers, students are all trying their best to solve math problems and input their answer. There is no longer any concern over who finishes first or who got it right. My students consistently give their best effort.

As the teacher of these amazing, hard-working students, the iclickers give me immediate feedback on how well students understand the material. I can immediately move forward with my lesson when I see ALL my students are understanding the material. I can also provide immediate feedback, when I see answer patterns that reveal a certain conceptual misunderstanding. As a result, I have been able to maximize the limited instructional time that I have with my students due to this wonderful technology.

I am thankful for your donation to my project. The document camera is an effective tool to be used in the classroom. It helps my lessons to run smoothly and efficiently. My students are engaged in their learning.

The majority of my students are English learners. With a document camera, I am able to show them pictures, newspaper, business advertisements, pattern blocks, and many other visual aids to help them better understand the lessons and learn vocabulary. My students enjoy explaining their work in front of the class as their work is shown through the camera. To prepare for the state standards tests, my students did many practice tests and review of lessons. I went over the questions with them using the document camera. They could easily follow along without getting lost.

My students expressed that they like looking at the colorful images from the camera rather than the black and white printing from the copy machine. They also noticed that less paper and transparencies are used, which means more reduce and reuse. Thanks to your generosity! Thank you for providing a learning environment where my students would be nurtured to become high achieving and joyful learners. ”

Thank you so much for providing excellent arts and crafts materials for my students. Thanks to your support, the kids in my class have experimented with shape and color while making mosaic suncatchers, decorated windows throughout the school with their window crayons, and applied glitter to their hearts' content.

Your generosity has allowed my students to grow as thinkers and artists. Exploring these materials enables them to think freely and in different ways. Their mental flexibility, developed through art, makes it easy for them to master word attack strategies or explain how they solved a problem in math. It also makes them careful observers of the world around them, and helps build the confidence to try new things - even when they seem hard!

Each day a table is assigned to use them during center time and then individual students use them throughout the day as an extension activity after completing their work.

At first I wondered how I would handle the management of taking out the laptops and setting them up and then putting them away each day. The students however, have done a great job of following the routines and taking care of the laptops.

My students are doing so well with the online educational games. We would not have been able to have the success that we have had without these laptops. Thank you again for supporting our classroom needs!”
